Location, Location, Location. While this isn’t the most glamorous hotel in the Disneyland Area, The Anaheim Hotel is one of the cheapest and closest hotels to Disneyland Resort. The rooms are standard-sized, and many come with balconies. The atmosphere here was also rather quiet which is wonderful for a downtown hotel. There is access to an onsite restaurant called the Pizza Press. And the lack of a waterpark and major Disney theme here makes it a good place for Disney Adults who plan to be in the parks all day and just need a place to sleep. The Hilton Anaheim Resort is perfect if you’re heading to the Anaheim Convention Center for the D23 EXPO. Grab a suite for a full kitchen in your room. You can also enjoy a grab-and-go breakfast option at the hotel, as well as a pool, large rooms, and dining, and is close walking distance to the parks. Our best strategy here is to walk to the Toy Story parking lot and grab the shuttle to the entrance of the parks.

Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground

The Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel is a great option if you’re looking for something budget-friendly and close to Disneyland Resort. The hotel is clean and an easy walk to the park. Disneyland is right across the street. How easy is that! The shortest walk to Disneyland makes this a great option for Disney grown-ups and families alike. With rooms, suites, and some suites with full kitchens, there are plenty of options here to consider. As a basic hotel, this one is Califonia-themed with palm trees and all things sunny. Disneyland Ultimate Bucket List

Disneyland’s Hotels at Disneyland Resort

Okay. we’ll be perfectly honest here. There is nothing like staying on property at Disney Parks. Whether you’re braving the wilds of Walt Disney World or Disneyland, our take is the same- it’s simply more magical. BUT…while we stand pretty firmly by our recommendation to stay on-property at Walt Disney World, that is not necessarily true at Disneyland. True, you won’t get all the extra magic if you stay off-site at Disneyland, but you may have some extra money for even more magical things- like Brunch at the Lamplight Lounge or the Holiday Tea at Disneyland Hotel. So, it’s a trade-off to be sure. If you’re looking for Hotels within Walking Distance of Disneyland Resort and want to stay on property, here are the three Disney-operated Disneyland hotels at Disneyland Resort. Of all the hotels in Anaheim, these are the closest hotels to disneyland, with the Grand Californian actually having a hotel entrance into Disney’s California Adventure. Read on for what makes these hotels extra special.

The Grand Californian Resort

This luxury Disney hotel is by far the most expensive of the three Disneyland property hotels. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa is also the fanciest! With spa services, cabanas to rent poolside, and an entrance directly into Disney’s California Adventure. As a Disney resort guest, you get early access to the parks ( an hour before the park opens with Magic Mornings ) which is a MAJOR perk!  Check out deals at the Disney Grand Californian Resort.

Disneyland Hotel

The first on-property hotel at Disneyland Resort you should consider would be the Disneyland Hotel. Still a little pricey, this hotel is considered the “most magical”! Each tower of the Disneyland Hotel is themed to the areas of Disneyland Park bringing a little extra magic and an excuse to roam around and explore. Be sure to look at the floors, ceiling, banisters, everywhere. You will find more Disney history here than anywhere! We also loved the rooms, with the pixie dust headboards, and the pool with Disney Monorail waterslide. The Disneyland Hotel has direct access to Downtown Disney, with the entrance to Disneyland just a short walk away. Check out deals at the Disneyland Hotel

Paradise Pier Pixar Place Hotel

If you’re a Pixar fan, then the Paradise Pier Pixar Place Hotel may be what you’re looking for.
