Another Disney trip in the books. Another Epcot festival complete! I know there is a lot of chatter online about there being “too many festivals” at Epcot, but we love them. I think it adds to the atmosphere at the World Showcase and I am always up for trying new things, so I love that every time there is a new festival, we can.You know we love lists. So here’s our list for the eight foods we loved at Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays!
Shredded Beef Tamale at the Feast of the Three Kings
I love Tamales and I have to say, this was probably one of my favorite things there! With Avocado Creama and Cilantro Rice, this was definitely a hit with us.
Tostada de Tinga at Las Posadas Holiday Kitchen
I love Mexican food and rhis was no exception. This was a crispy corn tortilla with chipotle chicken, black beans, queso fresco and avocado and tasted really fresh, which I loved.
Tamal de Chilorio at Las Posadas Holiday Kitchen
Another booth, another tamale. This one had pork instead of beef and while I liked the other tamale better, this one was good as well.
Cheese Fondue in a Bread Bowl at Bavaria Holiday Kitchen
This was probably one of my favorite things from the entire festival. And best of all, for $8.25, it was actually also available as a snack credit on the Dining Plan! Best use of a snack credit in all of the festival I think. Served with veggies and warm fondue in a bread bowl, this could’ve easily been a small meal in itself.
Slow roasted turkey at the American Holiday Table
Basically like a tiny Thanksgiving dinner, this was the perfect American cuisine for the festival.
Seared Pork Tenderloin at American Holiday Table
Normally I will admit that I am really not much of an “American” food person when I go to Epcot. I always prefer to try things you can’t get at home, and I don’t know if it was my yearning for holiday cuisine or if it was really that good but I enjoyed everything that we got at the American Booth this time!
Chocolate Pecan Tart at American Holiday Table
Another favorite from this booth, if you like pecan pie, you will like this too!
We didn’t have the chance to try as much as we normally do this trip, but we had a blast trying as much as we could!
