It may be spring, but that doesn’t mean we can’t all start looking forward to a bit more spooky and bit more spice, pumpkin spice that is! Every year, Disney parks celebrate Halfway to Halloween with celebrations on socials, watch parties, new Halloween snacks in the parks and more. Disney shares the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Dates, and all the new things we can expect in the fall. And every year we hop on the Halloween bandwagon sharing some of our favorite Disney Halloween outfits from the shop, and ideas to honor our second favorite time of year, Halloween. Take a break from your springtime plans for a few days to welcome the spooky season and enjoy the best of what Halloween has to offer! Halfway to Halloween Disney Details

So what is Halfway to Halloween? Marking the “halfway” point to Halloween at Disney Parks, this weeklong celebration includes a sneak peak at new Disney Halloween Merchandise, Announcements for Halloween Events in the parks, and even sometimes special Halloween snacks pop up in the parks. You can usually count on new Halloween activities shared on the blog, and socials. And a whole lot of reasons to get excited about Halloween early. Halfway to Halloween Disney Dates

Halfway to Halloween at Disney Parks runs May 12-16, 2025. #HalfwaytoHalloween at Disney Parks typically happens at the “halfway” to Halloween point. While May 31, is typically the official Halfway to Halloween point at 151 days, ( Halloween is the 303rd day of the year), Disney generally celebrates the second or third week of May.

Halfway to Halloween Disney Announcements 

Announcements for Disney’s Halfway to Halloween includes release dates and ticket sale dates for some of Disney Parks biggest events.  We’ll dive into details for each event and the specialty events, and foods you can find in each park below.

Halloween at Walt Disney World

Tune in on @DisneyParks channels for all things Halloween! In the middle of spring! Halfway to Halloween includes new snacks, and reasons to get ready for the spooky season. Celebrated at Disney Parks you can find new Halfway to Halloween Snacks, Disney announcements, and more as we honor spooky favorites, like the Sanderson sisters and Haunted Mansion. 

When Does Halloween Start at Walt Disney World?

The announcements at Halfway to Halloween includes the dates for Halloween events to begin at WDW. This year, we’re anticipating that Halloween at Disney World  is August 15, 2025 – October 31, 2025. 

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party | August 15- October 31, 2025

The biggest reason to celebrate Halfway to Halloween is the promise of dates for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Offered annually, this is the Best special event at Disney World and everyone knows it! Held on select nights from August through October, this Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park takes over the evening from 7PM- 12PM.

Offerings include special Halloween ride overlays, specialty Halloween snacks, the Boo to You Parade, special Halloween Fireworks, hosted by Jack Skellington himself, and a trick or treat trail. Not to mention loads of characters in their Halloween costumes you won’t see any other time of year. Our best advice? Aim for a Weekday Evening. This party gets crowded on the weekend dates. Halloween at Disneyland Resort

Halloween at Disneyland is always so much fun! And offers things you simply cannot find at Disney World. The Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion Halloween Overlay is a must see. And with things like the Headless Horseman statue in the park, and the Halloween Pumpkin Parade down Main Street, there’s a lot to look forward to! Also during Halloween time at Disneyland, you can see the larger than life rice krispie treat display in the Disney Grand Californian Lobby. If you’re in the parks for Halfway to Halloween, you can get a sneak peak of some of the new Halloween Snacks in the parks too. 

Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney’s California Adventure 

Featuring Oogie Boogie at his best, the Oogie Boogie Bash runs select nights late August. Admission to this After Hours Party includes admission to Disney’s California Adventure and unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads. Offered Select Nights August 17- October 31, 2025. Halloween on Disney Cruise Line

Nothing is more fun than a Halloween on the High Seas Cruise with Disney. Offered on several ships, if you’re sailing on the Disney Wish, you even get the story of Boo the Halloween Tree as part of the fun! But, really, all the ships offer specialty snacks, characters in Halloween costumes, special Halloween movie viewings, and more! A Halloween costume parade, and themed Disney trivia, games, activities and more all add to the reasons why you should consider a Disney Cruise for Halloween. Sailing during the fall months you can catch a Halloween Cruise with Disney to a variety of places, including the Caribbean.  Mickey and Minnie get new costumes as bats, and Donald Duck takes the stages as a spider. Only seen on Disney Cruise Halloween on the High Seas sailings.

Celebrating Halloween in the middle spring doesn’t mean you have to wait for the best Halloween merch to arrive. Because the Disney Halloween Shop is always open! And Halfway to Halloween means a sneak peek at all the special Halloween Merchandise for 2025 coming to the parks, and Disney Store online.
