Ronto Wraps at Star Wars Disney World

Wondering what to eat at Walt Disney World? If you’re visiting the most magical place on earth you want to make sure you’re only eating the good stuff. You know what we’re talking about; the Dole Whip, the Tonga Toast, and yes, ooey gooey cake. But why stop there? What about the loaded mac and cheese at Animal Kingdom? Or the Breakfast Pizza at Ale and Compass? Here is our Disney World Food Guide featuring 30 MUST Try Disney Foods to eat at Walt Disney World.

Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake at Liberty Tree Tavern Magic Kingdom

Contents

Thanksgiving Dinner | Liberty Tree Tavern Magic Kingdom

As  Americans, we have to say frequenting Liberty Tree Tavern was not necessarily the top thing on our list, BUT.. this place has the nicest people, the best food, and seriously the best dessert we have ever had at Disney. Word of warning, be prepared to just order more cake. While the Thanksgiving menu is multiple courses and filling, and all you care to enjoy, the cake just comes in a little pan. This means you should plan on ordering a second…at least.

S’mores Brownie | Diamond Horseshoe Magic Kingdom

The Diamond Horseshoe Restaurant is sometimes overlooked. Right next to Liberty Tree Tavern, this restaurant is table service but is often available by walk-up without a reservation. Here you will find the classic saloon style of the Wild West and the best s’mores brownie ever. Unless you’re big on loads of meat options at dinner, we say skip it and head straight for the dessert. Just grab this brownie and a coffee to make a great afternoon sweet break.

Dole Whip Float Magic Kingdom

Dole Whip | Aloha Isle Magic Kingdom

No need to talk up this treat. Found at the Tiki hut next to Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, this pineapple-flavored treat comes in a bowl or a float with pineapple juice. We like them both. A must-have on any Disney trip.

Enchiladas | San Angel Inn Restaurante Epcot

Housed inside the Mexico Pavilion this restaurant has authentic Mexican, overlooks the Gran Fiesta Tour ride, and is situated under string lights in a darkened courtyard. While it is a little difficult to see the food and photograph it here, we like the enchiladas, tortilla and dip appetizer, and the churros here.

French Pastries | Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie Epcot

Tucked away in the back of France at Epcot you can get an authentic cappuccino or croissant sandwich for breakfast or lunch, or just stop to grab a pastry. Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie is a smaller location, but there is additional spaces outdoors to find a seat. And it’s well worth the stop, every time.

Macaron sandwich Epcot Park Disney Snack

Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich | L’artisan Des Glaces Epcot

Home to the famous macaron ice cream sandwiches, wrapped in “newspaper” you can also grab a variety of flavors of ice cream here. A truly decadent treat, this one is worth the splurge.

Chip and Dale Breakfast | Garden Grill Epcot

We just recently experienced Garden Grill’s breakfast menu with Chip and Dale. Not always offered, but we recommend it when you can get it. For the price, this place rivals only the Whispering Canyon Cafe regarding budget and value. Served family-style you can keep the food coming. And while the strawberry shortcake is worth it and we can’t get enough of the cute interactions with Chip and Dale!

Troll Horn in Norway EPCOT France Disney Snacks

Troll Horn | Kringla Og Cafe Epcot

If you’re up for a bit of Norwegian fare that even the kids will like, then grab some sweets at Kringla Og Cafe. The troll horn is wonderful with a sweet bread dusted with sugar and filled with cream, what’s not to like?

Caramel Popcorn | Karamell-Kuche Epcot

We love everything at this German Werther’s Shop and find our leftover snack credits always go to good use here. You can wait in line, and watch the caramel corn being made, and the whole caramel-making process, which is cool, and fills the shop with heavenly smells. They’ve also just introduced the Boozy Caramel Flight.

While you can go here for the full dinner, or just dessert, get ready for some down-home awkwardness. Because personal boundaries don’t exist here so be ready to get chummy. The food is great and the waitstaff is tired of working- they’ll tell you about it. Just ask.

You have to actually book the Wild Africa Trek for this lunch. But it’s on the African Savanna, arrives in adorable tins, and you get our absolutely favorite drink, POG, chilled to perfection. There is a vegetarian option, just ask.

Pongu Lumpia | Pongu Pongu Animal Kingdom

Another favorite treat in Animal Kingdom, you can grab the drink, the Night Blossom with or without boba balls. And the Pongu Lumpia is a pineapple and cream cheese roll. The perfect snack for wandering around Pandora.

Ohana Bread Pudding | Ohana Polynesian Resort

By far one of the BEST, if not the best desserts at Walt Disney World. The Ohana Bread Pudding is like a banana cakey moist bread covered in ice cream and warm caramel sauce. So nice. And since it’s all you care to enjoy, you can even ask for some to bring back to your resort with you.
