Disney Beach Club Resort Pool- Stormalong Bay
Not a shock to anyone, but Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club is obviously at the very top of the list. Often the reason many are willing to spend as much as Yacht and Beach Club room prices demand, this pool is by far on of the absolute best pools at Disneyworld. Stormalong Bay is the perfect vacation destination when it’s hot out. And even when it’s a bit chilly!

Complete with a very cool, 230-foot Pirate Ship water slide, lazy river and 3 whirlpool spas. And one of the best parts? The pool area not only has sandy sections for lounging as well as sandy areas for the kids to play in, but the pool itself has a sandy bottom. So, if you’re trying to get your beach fix, but in Central Florida instead of on the coast, this is as close to the real thing as you’ll probably get!
Another huge perk of Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club is that it’s literally within arms reach of Beaches and Cream. Meaning you can grab ice cream from the to-go window, or take a lunch break at the restaurant.
Disney’s Polynesian Resort Lava Pool
Disney’s Polynesian Resort is an oasis really. With soft, white sandy beaches, relaxing music, and views of Magic Kingdom, this has been one of our favorite Disney resorts for some time. We love resort hopping at Disney here to escape the chaos of the Parks at times during midday breaks and grab a dole whip, of course. And aside from everything else that makes this resort so wonderful, their pool is just fantastic.
The Lava Pool at the Polynesian Resort not only has a zero entry point, but it also features a 142-foot-long waterslide. And the pool is surrounded by lush greenery that makes you really feel like you’re living your best island life. Even better, you can grab a dole whip at the Pineapple Lanai, or pause pool time for a bite to eat at Tiki Terrace, right next to the pool.

Disney Caribbean Beach Resort Pool- Fuentes Del Morro Pool
One of our very favorite resorts is Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Close to the Disney Skyliner with easy access to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, we love that this resort is also right next door to Disney’s Riviera Resort. And for us, this means specialty coffee, bocce ball and quiet time in Walt’s library.
But, if you’re looking for an amazing Disney resort for summer, Caribbean Beach is themed to pirates! Calling all Pirates of the Caribbean Fans! And with the new Little Mermaid rooms that sleep 5, this resort is an excellent summer vaation option for families. Plus the pool is just awesome! With two waterslides, one that’s over 100 ft long, this pool area is themed to that of a Colonial Spanish Fortress. With water canons that adds to the fun, this pool is always a hit with guests. And it has a great splash area for kids, which is designed as a pirate shipwreck area.

Disney Coronado Springs Pool – Dig Site at Lost City of Cibola Pool
A bit lacking in its Disney appeal, Coronado Springs Resort honors Walt Disney’s iconic trip to South America. And while we love the subtle touches and all the amentities, know that this resort is HUGE. Like, it has seven bus stops, huge. That said, the pools at Coronado Springs are fantastic! Home to Gran Destino Tower you can count on fine dining, and rooftop lounges, along with a specilaty coffee lounge and places to enjoy the lake throughout the resort.
Such a big resort, Coronado is a little bit of a destination all its own. Located in the center of the resort, at the Dig Site, you’ll find that the Lost City of Cibola Pool at Coronado. This is often touted as one of the best pools at Disney World. One thing we love about it? It’s not near the main building. This is great because it really splits up the congestion that can tend to happen when everything is so close together.
Themed to Mayan Ruins, the pyramid that graces this pool is 50 ft tall! The Dig Site also has the largest hot tub at Disneyworld that can hold 22 people. In the Dig Site area, you’ll also find a white sand beach for volleyball, Siesta’s Pool Bar and the Iguana Arcade. The layout of the Dig Site makes it easy to enjoy more than just the pool.

The Art of Animation – Big Blue Pool
Nothing can make you happier than seeing Finding Nemo and friends all gathered about the poo at this resort. With Crush and Squirt anchored at the far end, this pool extends the full length of the center of the resort, connecting all four areas. By far one of the cutest, and kid friendly pools, it’s no surprise that this one is found at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. While all Value Resorts have great themed pools, we absolutely think this is one of the best.
So there you have it! Remember that no matter which Disney Resort you stay at this summer, you can count on pool games, lifeguards, complimentary pool towels, loungers, and nearby places to grab a bite. If you’re hoping to lounge your summer away on of Disney World’s best pools, no one is stopping you! We hope that this post has helped you narrow down your Disney Summer Resort.
