We love Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. We know it doesn’t always get rave reviews. But for us, the laid-back vibe, the access to the skyliner and the dining options will keep us coming back! Banana Cabana is an open-air bar and grill located at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Read on to find all about this lounge at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.
Dining at Caribbean Beach Resort
Dining at Caribbean Beach has vastly improved over the years. With the renovation of the lobby, and now the new Little Mermaid-themed rooms at Caribbean Beach, the whole resort experience there is improving. And with that, the dining. Over the last few years, we’ve seen new dining options arise, and we are loving how they have really worked to make this resort its own destination.
Centertown Market has been completely redone, with a new look and menu. And has some of our favorite quick-service breakfast options. Sebastian’s Bistro is one of the most underrated, budget-friendly meals for families at Walt Disney World. And is a favorite table service of ours. Spyglass Grill isn’t anything super special, but it does offer some convenience for those staying in the Trinidad Section of the resort. And there’s even a Joffrey’s Coffee shop by the Skyliner station at Caribbean Beach Resort.
Banana Cabana is the resort’s pool bar and lounge. This light and airy space is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat, or a drink to enjoy poolside.
Banana Cabana at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Banana Cabana at Caribbean Beach Resort is located directly across from the main pool. Much like Geyser Point at Wilderness Lodge, this is the one and only pool bar at this resort. Many resorts have a small, standalone bar where you can grab a quick drink or small bite. But Disney seems to be leaning away from this concept in general. Caribbean Beach no longer has anything like that, but instead, they have something better. Banana Cabana. They have both a walk-up bar along with a lounge setting for those wishing to sit down and have some food, or just a more relaxing experience in general.
Seeing how Riviera is set up the same way as Bar Riva, it does make me wonder if they will continue this trend.
Banana Cabana Menu Items
Banana Cabana offers a variety of items. Whether you’re looking for a cocktail to go, or want to grab a small meal here, they offer a great variety of both. You can actually order the same Caribbean Pull-Apart Rolls that they serve at Sebastian’s Bistro, which is always a treat. They also offer other Caribbean-inspired menu items like Jerk Chicken wings and a Cuban Sandwich, as well as standard fares like burgers and salads.
The drinks are fantastic here, and we’ve tried quite a few different ones. They actually serve one of our favorite mocktails here, the Tropical Paradise. If you’re looking for something with a bit more of a kick though, you can get a variety of tropical cocktails like Mai Tais, Mojitos, Rum Punch, and many others. They also offer frozen drinks, beers, hard ciders, and wine.

Banana Cabana Review
If you couldn’t tell already, we love Banana Cabana. The food is great and is an excellent option if you’re in search of some last-minute meal decisions in a relaxing and beautiful setting. No reservations are needed, making this a good spot for your arrival or departure days. Or any day that you don’t already have meal plans. They are open for lunch and dinner, and depending on what you order, you can easily get a meal for under $20 here.
Service can be a bit slow here, both for the walk-up bar and the lounge, but unfortunately, we’ve noticed this to be the case with most places at Disney post-pandemic. As with any part of your Disney Vacation, just be patient. And remember, when you’re here, you’re on island time anyway, right?!
If you’re looking for a quick meal, or even just a drink that you can take with you while you relax on one of the beaches or at the pool, we love this spot and it’s actually one of our favorites on the Disney Skyliner Resort Route.
How to get to Banana Cabana at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Getting to Banana Cabana is easy! If you’re staying at Caribbean Beach Resort, you’ll just walk up to the main pool and follow the wooden pathway that winds around it. It will lead you right to it. It’s located directly next to Sebastian’s Bistro, so if you’re coming from the Barbados section, you’ll see it before reach the pool. Generally, the line for the walk-up bar is along the side, and the lounge can be accessed right from the front. There will be a sign letting you know if you should seat yourself or if you need to wait for a hostess.
If you’re visiting Banana Cabana from another Skyliner resort, or maybe while taking a break from Epcot or Hollywood Studios, you’ll just take the Skyliner to the Riviera Resort station and make a right when you disembark. Follow the pathway and when you come to the section where it splits off, take the path to the right that leads you over the water. It’s just around the corner. Easy!
You can also get off at the Caribbean Beach Hub Skyliner station, but just be aware that this is about a 20-minute walk. So it’s up to you which route you take, but the fastest will be departing from the Riviera Station, Furthermore, you can also take a Disney bus to get to Caribbean Beach and get off at the main bus stop, Centertown Market or you can drive. So there are lots of options!
Overall, we love Banana Cabana. It’s a great place to stop for a bite to eat or grab a quick drink in a lovely setting. We highly recommend checking it out on your next trip!
