Disney Beauty Bag Must Haves for your Disney Vacation

Disney Beauty Bag Must Haves for your Disney Vacation

If you’re looking for the absolute best beauty bag must-haves for your Disney vacation, get ready to see our complete list. Florida humidity and California sunshine can wreak havoc on your skin, your hair and cause your eyeliner to be everywhere but your eyes. And unfortunately, since planes have luggage weight limits you’re probably not going to be able to tote your regular beauty arsenal as previously hoped. No worries. Here’s our list of moisture-filled, waterproof, humidity-resistant, and all around travel-friendly items that fit in your suitcase and help you look amazing.

Being girls at Disney wanting to look cute, we really can’t have stupid things like sub-par nails get in the way of our cute drink photo. You’ll notice from this list we’re pretty loyal to certain brands just because they perform exactly as we need them to time and time again. Luckily, we are also pretty loyal to Target, so some of these will be more affordable and the others are just highly highly recommended splurges.

Best Skincare for a Disney Vacation

L’Occitane Almond Oil: I recently bought this in France ( in Disney Epcot) for the first time last year and am now absolutely addicted. It’s perfect for your face or whole body. The smell is amazing, the oil is smooth and clears skin beautifully. It’s super intense clean hydration. A few days of using this and you’ll have supple gorgeous skin. Even in the Florida heat. Grab it in the trial size.

Burts Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes in Cucumber: This is our favorite answer to “gosh, i’m so sleepy, I don’t want to wash my face before bed” problem. Perfect as wipes to remove all the gunk of the day, we also love these as a quick before-dinner refresher if you pop back to your hotel mid-day.

Pacifica Coconut Essence Hydro Mist: Pacifica is sometimes hit or miss for us. But, not in the case of this face mist. Also available in a travel spray this little mist has Vitamin C and caffeine so can wake up your skin after a long day in the parks or the morning after a late night. Part moisturizer it dries on quickly and leaves you feeling refreshed, not to mention smells fantastic. A definite must have.

H20 Illuminating Night Cream: If you’re anything like us, you have long, very long, Disney days. For that reason you should totally be using some sort of night cream, just to restore your face a bit. Between the extra sun, extra heat, extra-long days, probably not enough water and extra humidity, your skin will literally be in freak-out mode with the complete change in climate. This cream is an dream to use and completely refreshes your entire face.

Sun Bum SPF 30 Face Stick: So you must, must, must bring sunscreen in your Disney day bag. You’ll want something compact so you can fit it in your purse and reapply throughout the day. We completely love the sun bum products. As sun care is this company’s entire focus they really know how to make this stuff so it works, goes on nicely, absorbs well and effectively protects your skin. Be sure to grab this.

Sun Bum SPF 50 Spray: Ok, so it wasn’t until the last trip that we realized all spray sunscreen is not created equal. Even the other high end pricey brands don’t really compare to the sun bum spray. You can also get it in 70 or 100 SPF. It goes on in a steady spray, covers completely, absorbs quickly and you don’t have to rub it in. We also bring a bottle of this into the parks on sunny days to reapply as needed. It keeps us from getting burned every time.

Sephora Clay Mask: Ok, lets be honest. At one point in your vacation you’re going to really want to just stop putting on sunscreen or any other gunk that is tough on your skin. We like to bring extra biore strips, and a clay mask, though you can grab either at Disney Springs. Because at one point we’re going to need an earlier night to reset our skin and get more sleep- you are on vacation after all.

H20 Smooth Lip Conditioner: My absolute favorite Disney trip lip balm. It’s H20, so available right in the Disney gift shops. It’s in a tube, so unlike regular lip balm won’t melt all over your purse on hot days. You can wear it all day for smooth lips and it works beautifully under lipstick if you change for the evening.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Primer : This primer can be worn alone or with makeup. It leaves a nice light iridescent shimmer and is SPF 15 so you can take care in knowing your skin is at least somewhat protected. We like it best on its own for an all over even tone that catches the light. Grab this instead of foundation.

Best Makeup For Disney

Stila One Step Correct: My sister and I usually stare in awe at the girls about town who enter Disney with a full, sometimes caked on, face of liquid makeup. First, how long did it take you to get ready, second- do you expect that face to last all day in the sun, rain, heat, humidity? It just feels like it’s a disaster waiting to happen. That said, we kinda go for pretty plus practical. So actually we don’t usually do makeup. We’ll grab this corrector from Stila which is just perfect for all skin types and helps you look like you’re wearing makeup without the mess. We also like Estee Lauder The Illuminator or a good BB or CC cream also do the trick.

Stila Waterproof Eyeliner in Black : You’d be surprised how many other brands of liquid/smudge eyeliner just run like crazy in the weird weather of Disney. To make sure you actually look like you’re wearing eyeliner by the time dinner starts, grab this surefire bet, the waterproof Stila eyeliner is perfect.

Stila Shimmer and Glow Eyeshadow in Grace: Don’t bother packing all your makeup brushes. In fact if you follow this list, you won’t need to bring any. This liquid shimmer eye shadow is a beautiful rose gold that won’t require blending, and stays on all day.

Pixi Blush in Rosy: Okay, so this has been an absolute staple in my beauty bag. Mainly because right after you moisturize your face in the morning you can apply the smallest amount to your cheeks, right under your eyebrow line, and lips for an overall rosy flush that looks great. You don’t even have to put on any other makeup, this little rose stain sorta satisfies all the needs for a fresh face. Get it in Rosy, the other colors are too light.

Blushed Nudes Eyeshadow: This basic palette has every pinky color you can imagine and a few darker brown shades that can double up for a night out. If you’re looking for something to take that will offer a variety of looks grab this to go along with the Stila cream eye shadow. They blend perfectly.

Pixi Powder Blush in Peach Honey: You can use this in tandem with the rosy stain, to finish the look or as a shadow for a less dramatic eye.

Better than Sex Waterproof Mascara: This is my absolute favorite mascara for light feathery lashes. The waterproof is amazing and since it’s such a pricey mascara go for the if you can’t justify the 40 dollar full size. Either way its worth it. You’ll love the consistency and the brush and it won’t wind up melting in the theme park sun.

Best Hair Care for Disney

Nexxus Emergencee Repair Rebalancing Shampoo and Conditioner: So did we mention Florida heat and humidity? What about California heat? No matter which Disney you’re venturing to, long days in the sunshine are amazing as long as you’re protecting your hair from the elements. Nexxus is amazing all the time, and smells delicious, but if you’re not using the equally amazing H2O haircare that Disney provides in the resorts, you’ll need something that keep your scalp healthy throughout the vacay. This stuff will take care of your hair.

Drybar The Sheriff Firm Hold Hairspray: There is nothing worse than having crunchy hair because the sun is literally frying your hairspray choice. Luckily, drybar is pretty amazing and this one is brush-able, not intimidated by the sun, and will still help you hold a style. Yay!

Clairins Spray on Sunscreen for Skin and Hair: Ok so if you’re not packing the sun bum and need something that does double duty on a smaller scale, grab the clarins sun screen for hair and body. It is only an SPF 30 but definitely more than your hair would get normally and is pretty light and airy. Use especially if you have porous or colored hair.

Best Body, Feet and Nails Products for Disney

Tip Toes Foot Petals for Flip Flops: While we absolutely always recommend bringing tennis shoes or two to Disney for those long 15 mile days, sometimes your feet need to be freed from their little shoe prison. On days like those, bring your flip flops and grab these little jellies for your toes. Flip flops give no support at all! But, these babies help cushion them where you need it.

Burt’s Bees Tips and Toes Kit: We love this mainly because its travel size goodies for your toes and nails. What you’ll really need from this are the foot cream and the salve. Your feet will thank you if you can remember to pack this and some cozy socks for nighttime foot repair.

Marvis Whitening Mint Toothpaste: Travel size! A really great toothpaste and whitener. You’ll end up buying it in full size once you get home.

L’Occitane Cuticle and Hand Cream: Absolutely addicted to L’Occitane. This cuticle and hand cream is a little luxury, but if you’re on a Disney vacation chances are you will deserve this. Take the downtime and be nice to hands to and nails.

Gigi Simply Roll-On Hair Remover: Okay, so unless you are absolutely committed to using a razor and being coherent enough in the early mornings or late nights to actually remember to shave, you should just get the hair remover. Mainly because if you ever have bump problems as a result of aggravating your skin with razor shaving, the Gigi brand products are just amazing. This roll-on remover is travel-friendly and way safer than a razor while rushing through your vacation showers.

Essie Nailpolish: We like all shades of pink. Pick your vacation color and just buy one. Essie tends to stay on longer than other polishes or lacquers and is worth it just to not have to worry about reapplying on your busy vacation days. Chances are there will be something cute you need to hold and there’s no reason your nails shouldn’t look great.

The very best Makeup, Skin, and Hair Products to get you through a Florida Vacation looking gorgeous, even in the heat and humidity. #polkadotpixies #disneybeauty #disneytips #bestmakeup
