The Enchanted Rose Lounge at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Walt Disney World, is one of Walt Disney World’s newer restaurants just in time for the 50th Anniversary. Inspired by the look and feel of Beauty and the Beast, this new lounge is all about gilded glamour. With elegant small plates and fancy drinks, plan to start your evening here. Whether you’re hosting a bachelorette party, meeting up with friends or popping in for a cocktail with the relatives, you’re sure to find something here that you love. Here’s a round up of everything we tried while dining amidst some gorgeous decor.
Enchanted Rose Lounge at The Grand Floridian
Enchanted Rose Lounge takes over the location previously held by Mizners Lounge at Grand Floridian on the second floor. And is part of a larger renovation to the Grand Floridian with a more Disney-focused overhaul. With plans to switch out Citricos for a new restaurant, Victoria and Albert’s Bistro, and an effort to infuse a little more Disney into the resort, we think this lovely lounge was a great first step.
The Enchanted Rose Lounge Rooms
This charming new lounge at The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa combines elements from Beauty and the Beast in a classy, upscale atmosphere. Consisting of four Lounge spaces, Enchanted Rose Lounge is sure to satisfy any mood.
The Ballroom houses the main bar with stools and small tables near windows. The whole space circles a large chandelier reminiscent of Belle’s gold ballgown. If you’re feeling a little extra fancy and social then grab a seat at the bar and settle in. The Garden Room offers a beautiful dark green space, littered with velvet chairs and large french doors that lead to the The Garden Patio Room. The Patio room is a set of tables on the balcony offering views of the outdoor gardens at The Grand Floridian and a great place to pass the time on beautiful days. One of our more favorite spaces was The Library, featuring rich slate blue hues on the walls, golden velvet furniture, and ornaments one might find in the Beast’s Library.
The Library at Enchanted Rose Lounge
Rich blues and large windows offers a cozy, subdued area in which to sip to your hearts content! With an extensive, EXTENSIVE, Wine Selection, this is the room you’ll want to sit in for easy access. In this room you can simply get lost in beautiful artwork, the intricate furniture, book titles and items decorating the shelves. Here you’ll find Mrs. Pott’s Teapot, Cogsworth Clock, a hand held mirror, Lumiere’s Candelabra, and every other object that later comes to life in Beauty and the Beast.
The Garden Room at Enchanted Rose Lounge
The hunter green Garden Room brings you right into the Enchanted Forest. With gold covered branch chandeliers, rich velvet seating, and the softest gold lighting you will feel like you are surrounded by forest. Even with a full wall of French doors leading to the Garden Patio, bringing in tons of light, this room has a cozy vibe that you just want to sit in all day.
Enchanted Rose Drinks at Walt Disney World Grand Floridian
We headed to the Enchanted Rose because we had evening plans for Disney Villains After Hours over at Magic Kingdom and wanted to get a little bite to eat, but not enough to spoil a late dinner. Let us be clear here. While we are quintessential foodies, we’re not necessarily big eaters or drinkers. Especially when we know snacks are on the way. So, we only got a few drinks and truffle fries not really knowing what to expect.
Drinks at Enchanted Rose Lounge
The drinks here are mostly all themed! Check out the menu for details on each one. We loved that everything had a Beauty and the Beast vibe. If this Disney classic is a favorite you can’t go wrong. Here were the drinks we tried and what we thought.
Island Rose
Rosemary Cooler
Floral Bitter Beauty
This gorgeous red drink is named perfectly. If you’ve ever had the Italian liqueur Campari, then you know what you’re in for. This drink is wonderfully bitter, with a tiny bit of sweetness courtesy of the Elderflower. The Floral Bitter Beauty is a mix of Hendrick’s Gin, St~Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Campari, Aperol, lemon, and soda. Really, I absolutely LOVED this drink. But, unlike the Island Rose, it is very very noticeably alcohol and may be too strong for some. If you’re used to Negroni’s then you’ll be fine. And even though this one was an excellent choice I would have needed like another hour to actually finish this drink. And way more truffle fries.
Truffle Fries
The Enchanted Rose Lounge has small plates of things like flatbread, appetizers, and fries. Frankly, being girls that have gone to college, we know the value that carbs like bread and potatoes can bring to an evening filled with alcohol. So fries were a natural choice. Besides, being from Cleveland, we’re also a little spoiled by Michael Symon’s Lola Fries with rosemary and wanted to compare. We were not disappointed! These fries are perfectly thick, fried to perfection, and not overly so. Topped with Rosemary, Shaved Black Truffles and 18-Month Aged Parmesan, it was served with this lovely light aioli. Try this appetizer and your next visit and you won’t be disappointed!
Enchanted Rose Lounge Menu
This Beauty and the Beast inspired menu is beautifully decorated, with illuminated pages and little illustrations throughout. We would have just loved to be here all day to try everything. The drinks and foods were all carefully chosen to match the theme and looked amazing.
Enchanted Rose Lounge Review Grand Floridian Walt Disney World
We would definitely do everything we got on this visit over again. Everything was fantastic and we cannot wait to go back once Disney opens again. Did you get a chance to try this new lounge at Walt Disney World? Let us know your favorites! We’ll be sure to add to this post as we try new things.
