Favorite Foods at Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival 2018

Favorite Foods at Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival 2018

If you follow us on Instagram, then you probably know that we love eating around the world when we are at Epcot, especially during a festival. Flower and Garden has quickly become our favorite festival and part of that has to do with the fact that there is so much good food. We did a post on our favorite foods from last year’s festival, but with the addition of new foods and some of our old favorites no longer being available(life is tough guys), we wanted to share with you the things we loved from this year!

These are in no particular order, as I am really too indecisive to choose a “best” food, but they are all foods and drinks we tried and loved.

1.Macaron au Chocolat en Sucette from Fleur de Lys

If you remember from last year’s post, I was not a fan of the macaron they offered last year. It was just not good. This year’s macaron however is a completely different story. Not only is it chocolately, decadent and delicious, but its huge! Its even gluten free, which means its perfect for everyone(except if you don’t like chocolate…)

2. La Vie en Rose from France

Always a favorite at the Festival(how did I not try this last year?) and incredibly instagram worthy, this alcoholic slushy is light and delicious. Just be careful because if its hot, it will melt everywhere

3. Roasted Cauliflower from The Honey Bee-stro

To be honest, we really loved everything from this cute new booth. This was probably one of our favorite dishes, and while I really missed the crab-less cakes from last year, this is a great alternative for those of you who don’t eat meat. Wild Rice Pilaf, Asparagus, honey blistered grapes, sunflower brittle all on top of a buckwheat honey carrot puree sounds complicated, but is oh so good.

4. Vegetable Spring Rolls from Lotus House

Another new favorite of ours(again not sure how I missed this last year), these spring rolls are everything a spring roll should be. Light, crispy and flavorful. I definitely could’ve eaten more than two.

5.Carne Guisada from Florida Fresh

The Florida Fresh Booth is really such a great stop. If you’re lucky enough to be able to grab a table, they have some of the best shaded seated at the festival along with some great dishes. This was one of our favorite meat dishes. The flavors are really just perfect.

6. Warm Chocolate Cake with caramel bourbon sauce from Smokehouse

If you’re going to stop here, be sure to plan to wait. Every time we walked by this booth, the line was long. This cake made our list last year and here it is again this year. Its soft, warm and the mixture of the chocolate cake and caramel sauce is really divine.

7. Local Wildflower Honey-Marscapone Cheesecake

Although the Orange Blossom Honey Ice Cream started to melt rather quickly, this entire dish was really just divine. The cheesecake was melt-in-your-mouth kind of soft and the honey added the perfect amount of sweetness.

8. Pretzel Bread from Bauernmarkt

The Bauernmarkt near Germany is another one of our favorite stops during this festival. They introduced this new pretzel bread this year and its topped with Black Forest ham and melted Gruyere . Sounds so simple, but trust me, if you like pretzel bread, this might be your new favorite dish.

9.Warm Cheese Strudel from Bauernmarkt

Another favorite from last year, its a warm, flaky pastry, with a cheese fillings and warm berries on top. And so delicious.

10. Field Greens Strawberry Salad from the Berry Basket

Am I really adding a salad to this list? I am very picky about salads, because I require them to have a lot of flavor in order for me to feel its something worth paying for, but this salad really was fantastic. A mix of greens, strawberries, feta, and quinoa, it was light, refreshing and perfect for the warmer weather we were experiencing the last day of our trip.

11. Green Tea Mint Berry Julep from Berry Basket

This was another favorite from last year, but its so good(and we believe, fairly underrated), we just had to include it. Not too sweet, with just the right amount of green tea flavor, this is such a refreshing drink for a warm Florida day.

12. Violet Lemonade from Pineapple Promenade

Did you even go to the Flower and Garden Festival if you didn’t try the Violet Lemonade? Its definitely debatable but many people will swear that its one of their favorite things there.  It’s sweet, it’s sour, and its just so pretty.  What more could you want?!

So there you have it, our list of favorite foods from Flower and Garden 2018. Have you been to the festival? What are your favorites?!
