Garden Grill Breakfast Review with Chip and Dale

Garden Grill Breakfast Review with Chip and Dale

Nothing says Disney Vacation like a Disney character meal! With good food, a family friendly atmosphere and the bonus of getting Disney characters all in one place, you can often cross “meet a character” off your list, just by having a meal. As such, Disney character dining runs the gamut in terms of cost, characters, and atmosphere. But is the Garden Grill Breakfast at EPCOT one of the good ones? Is breakfast cheaper than dinner? Which characters will you see? Is the food any good? Here we’re sharing our Garden Grill Breakfast Review so you can choose for yourself on your next visit to EPCOT Park.

EPCOT The Land Building

Chip and Dale Harvest Feast Breakfast

Sometimes known as the Chip and Dale Restaurant, because this is the only place you meet this dynamic duo, the Garden Grill is located on the second floor of EPCOT’s The Land building. Featuring Mickey in his farmer outfit, Chip and Dale, and Pluto too, you get a home cooked meal served family style for sharing. Complete with meats, eggs, potatoes, Mickey Waffles, and fruit, you can plan on a wholesome breakfast at Garden Grill before you head into the park.

In fact, Garden Grill often uses ingredients from the Disney greenhouses below the restaurant! You’ll see the plants, vegetables and fruits, that may just find their way onto your plate on the Living with the Land ride. As such, you can depend on fresh flavors, and foods you won’t get elsewhere.

  • Cost: $47 per adult, $30 per adult
  • Hours: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
  • Menu: Garden Grill Breakfast Menu

Garden Grill Atmosphere

This Disney character breakfast at Garden Grill Epcot is situated just above the Living with the Land ride and rotates slowly throughout your meal. This casual dining restaurant at Disney is tiered with two levels of tables. Both booth seating and table seating is available and is a good restaurant for families at Disney. In typical character dining fashion, you can expect Disney characters to visit you at your table as you eat. So get ready with your camera, phone, and autograph book. As a bustling Disney restaurant, you can expect to be served  your meal in courses. With the breakfast pastry, and fruit coming first, then the main dish and sides settled on the table for you to work through at your leisure.

Does the Garden Grill Restaurant rotate?

Yes! The Garden Grill Restaurant rotates, very very slowly, allowing you different views throughout the meal. While the movement is not noticeable while you’re dining, if you look up, you’ll notice different scenery. With views into the treetops of the ride, and the hot air balloons that hang in The Land building, parts of the “scenery” are just walls. However, since your real experience at this restaurant is all about the characters, you may not notice the views anyway!

In terms of character restaurants at Disney World, the Garden Grill Breakfast offers a unique experience you can’t get anywhere else. Seeing Mickey Mouse in his farmer outfit with Pluto, Chip and Dale, you can count on a fun breakfast with photo ops. A similar Disney character restaurant offering an all you care to enjoy, family style breakfast is the Best Friends Breakfast at ‘Ohana.

Should You Choose Garden Grill Breakfast or Lunch?

If you’re choosing between breakfast or lunch at Garden Grill Epcot, we’d recommend breakfast, simply because it’s cheaper! And because the foods on the menu at breakfast are fantastic! Lunch and Dinner at Garden Grill are the same, including meats, vegetables, potatoes and macaroni and cheese. The menu is similar to that you would find at Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom. At Garden Grill, however, the  lunch and dinner is about $15 more per person.
