Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival has begun and we are loving all the amazing new foods! Unfortunately, if you’re gluten-free, you know that sometimes these types of festivals can be a little challenging. One thing we love about Walt Disney World is that they really do try to accommodate those with dietary restrictions. So we are happy to report a few foods we love at Food and Wine that are gluten-free!
Epcot Food and Wine Festival Gluten Free Foods to Try!
There is a pretty good selection of gluten-free foods at this year’s festival, and we’ve only tried a handful, so we will keep this post updated as try more that we love!
Liquid Nitro Almond Truffle from The Chocolate Studio
This makes our list every year, regardless of being gluten-free or not! This chocolate truffle is simply divine and one of our absolute favorite Food and Wine festival items. So the fact that it’s gluten-free is a huge win and it makes us happy that our gluten-free friends are able to enjoy it too!
Jerk Spiced Chicken from Islands of the Caribbean
Although we would have preferred this to be a little bit spicier, it’s still a great dish. The mango chutney that tops this chicken is so flavorful, and you can add as much as or as little as you like to control the sweetness. It basically tastes like you’re on a tropical island somewhere, and the fact that it’s gluten-free makes it that much better.
Madras Red Curry from India
We basically love everything from the India booth, however, this is the only gluten-free item available there. If you love curry with a bit of a kick, this is your dish. Warm, comforting, and hearty, this curry is a must-try for us.
Pão de Queijo from Brazil
Best known everywhere on social media as Brazilian Cheese Bread, this is always a fan favorite. Although we don’t quite buy fully into the hype, it is pretty awesome that you can get delicious gluten-free bread at the Food and Wine Festival. Soft and filled with cheese, this is a great snack and is super portable for your round-the-world showcase adventures. Check out our Disney Copycat Recipe of Brazilian Cheesy Bread!
“Le Cellier” Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon from Canada
Another gluten-free item that makes our favorites list every year, this filet could be a small meal for some. The Truffle-Butter sauce is really sublime and we love how tender this. The steak you can eat with a plastic fork?! We’ll take it.
So there you have it, a few of our favorite gluten-free foods from Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival this year! We will keep this post updated as we are able to try more things, but just know if you’re traveling to the festival and you’re gluten-free, there are some great options for you! Have you tried any of the gluten-free foods there this year? What have you loved so far?!
