Need to know the top 10 things to do at Hollywood Studios? With rising ticket prices at Walt Disney World, it’s a good idea to maximize your day in one park. That way you can skip the park hopper ticket! Here’s our list of Disney Must Do’s at Hollywood Studios.

Hollywood Studios Park and What To Do There

So, we’ve written before about Hollywood Studios.  From the Best Hollywood Studios Restaurants to why we think you should be excited for Woody’s Rodeo Roundup BBQ! With so many major Disney franchises like Star Wars and Toy Story taking over the park, there is a ton to do here! Add in iconic shows, and even the Best Hollywood Studios Snacks  and you may find yourself visiting this park more than once during your vacation.

What Should I Not Miss at Hollywood Studios?

Be sure to check out our Hollywood Studios Bucket List so you can be sure not to miss a thing, and our Best Days to Visit Which Disney Park post for our top days to avoid crowds. Ok, in no particular order, here are the things we most love about Hollywood Studios and why. If you’re looking to smash your experience into one day at this park, here are the things that most deserve your time. Get fast passes where you can and dining reservations as needed.

Rise of Resistance

Currently operating by boarding pass system only, your ability to get a pass for Rise of the Resistance is dependent on waking up early, having a fast phone and resisting rope dropping any other ride. Check out our Best Tips on getting a Rise of the Resistance Boarding Pass. This larger than life ride combines a pre-show experience with a trackless dark ride featuring all your favorite Star Wars characters as you join the rebels and try to outrun the First Order.

Woody’s Lunch Box

We love Woody’s Lunch Box for a hearty breakfast that is budget-friendly. Or you can grab one of those delicious homemade lunch box tarts, offered in different flavor combinations seasonally. And if you’re stuck on what to have for lunch, the grilled cheese an tomato soup here always hits the spot. Check out our full review of Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land.

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater

On a hot day in Florida, we love the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. Nothing compares to a classic burger, fries and a milkshake. Served while you hang out in a classic car and watch old black and white shorts in a makeshift drive-in setting. And be sure to see where Sci-Fi Dine In Theater falls on our Best Restaurants at Hollywood Studios List!

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Hollywood Studios newest ride is the first to feature Mickey and Minnie! This 2-D ride features sounds from the original Steamboat Willie whistle, and all our favorite scenes and songs from the newest Emmy-award winning Mickey Mouse shorts. This is a Tier 1 ride at Hollywood Studios, so plan to grab a FastPass or arrive when the gates open so you have a chance to ride without super long lines. Check out everything to know about Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-A-Long

Think you’ve heard “Let it Go” one too many times? Think again. This show offers a nice respite from the Florida weather, slapstick comedy at it’s best and a re-telling of your favorite story by people who know how to tell it. Disney During COVID Update: some experiences are currently unavailable. Check out what’s open at Walt Disney World before you go.

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular

This stunt show is always pretty cool to see and usually involves a few explosions sure to please. We love that this show offers another opportunity to sit and watch something in between FastPasses and dining reservations. You won’t need a FastPass for this one, since show times are available throughout the day. Disney During COVID Update: : some experiences are currently unavailable. Check out what’s open at Walt Disney World before you go.

Star Tours: The Adventures Continue

This classic Star Wars ride now features multiple story lines, so you never know what’s going to happen each time you ride. We definitely suggest getting a FastPass for this ride, as it’s still very popular. And dare we say, we like it better than Smugglers Run.

Slinky the Dog Rollercoaster at Night

If you’re working to get your Rise of the Resistance boarding pass in the morning, you won’t be able to rope drop Slinky Dog. So why not try for a nighttime ride instead. With stringed lights all over Toy Story Land, you can count on amazing views at night and this coaster literally lights up in the darkness. Lines will still be a little long, but usually get shorter after 8pm. And if you’re hanging out waiting for lower crowds, head to Toy Story Mania, one of our favorite rides in Toy Story Land.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

The Tower of Terror is Hollywood Studios most famous ride. Even if you don’t love the feeling of being dropped in an elevator, the storyline for this classic attraction is worth the visit. And we love the Hollywood Tower Hotel merchandise too, so be sure to check out this gift shop. And the specialty coffees at the Joffrey’s stand nearby.

Star Wars a Galactic Spectacular

If staying till park closing you’ll be able to see Star Wars a Galactic Spectacular fireworks and digital laser show. Perfect for Star Wars fans, this evening show is a culmination of Star Wars stories, music and lights. If Star Wars isn’t your thing, you can head to Hollywood Studios classic evening show, Fantasmic. Be sure to grab popcorn, no matter which show you attend. Disney During COVID Update: some experiences are currently unavailable. Check out what’s open at Walt Disney World before you go.
