Joffrey’s White Chocolate Gingerbread Latte Copycat Recipe
This copycat recipe is made with real spices and white mocha sauce. You can also make your own white mocha sauce, but we always have Torani white mocha sauce on hand so it worked out perfectly for us! We also used oat milk when we made this, but you can use any milk you choose. And just like Joffrey’s, you can make it hot or iced!
What do you need for a white chocolate gingerbread latte?
You most likely already have most of the ingredients that you’ll need to make this copycat recipe. Especially if you’re making it during the holiday season, many of these spices are what is used a lot in holiday baking! You’ll need:
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 tbsp Molasses
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1-1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of cloves
- 1-1/2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- Milk of choice
- Espresso
- 1-1/2 tbsp White Mocha sauce
- whipped cream ( optional)
How to make a white chocolate gingerbread latte
It’s actually a pretty simple process! You’ll start by making a gingerbread simple syrup. This has to reduce down a little on the stove, which generally takes around 8-10 minutes. Then you just add the syrup to whatever milk you choose, add the espresso, top with whipped cream, and enjoy! We also added a cute gingerbread man for fun.
Instructions – Gingerbread Syrup
In a small saucepan add molasses, water, allspice, ginger, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cloves. Whisk together until incorporated. Heat on medium until mixture starts to simmer. Reduce heat to low and let the mixture reduce for 8-10 minutes. Once mixture has thickened, take off the heat and add vanilla.
This recipe makes enough for about 2-3 lattes depending on how sweet you like your coffee, but you can always make a larger batch of the syrup and store it in the refrigerator. As far as the amount of espresso goes, this is going to depend on how you like your coffee. Usually, 1 shot of espresso gets 8 oz of milk, but you can make this stronger or less strong by changing that ratio.
We also use a Moka pot to brew our espresso, but you can use any method to make your espresso like an espresso machine, Nespresso, or even picking up some espresso from a coffee shop.
Instructions- Make Latte
In a glass add white mocha sauce Make espresso. While espresso is still hot, add to the mocha sauce and stir to blend together. Heat and froth milk and add Gingerbread Syrup. Add milk mixture to espresso. Top with whipped cream and cinnamon if desired. Enjoy!
