What Can You Do at Mickey’s Not Scary Halloween Party?
We’ll admit that this party is what prompted us to start this blog and to start taking annual vacations to Walt Disney World in the fall each year. So we may be biased. What can you do at this party, you ask? Well, apart from the general Halloween magic found in Magic Kingdom in the fall, you can do quite a few things. You can read our Ultimate Guide to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party to learn about them all. While you can always grab candy from Target, and dress up on your own to trick or treat in your neighborhood, there are things here you just can’t get anywhere else. Here is our Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Disney Must-Do List.
Disney’s Boo To You Parade
We love love love this parade. LOVE. IT. If you’re lucky enough to have the Boo to You Parade music, this music literally starts our spooky season. But there is nothing like seeing this parade in person. The Boo to You Parade happens ONLY at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom.
What time is the Boo to You Parade at the Halloween Party?
The Boo to You Parade is offered twice during the party at 9:15 pm and 11:15 pm.
Need the Disney Halloween Parade lyrics? We have those. Need Disney Boo to You Parade tips? We have those too. We even pulled together a Boo to You Parade Photo Tour just so that we can reminisce when we’re not there. We usually watch this parade at both showings, one earlier and one later just to get the full effect, and photos, of the whole experience. This year we camped out right in front of the castle to get the best views and see the Headless Horseman up close. It’s always a treat when the Headless Horseman rides because sometimes he doesn’t! If it’s raining, lightning, or even if the horse doesn’t feel like it, he may not lead the parade at all. Either way, this parade is probably still the #1 reason we pack up every fall and head to Walt Disney World.
Disney Halloween Party Snacks
So, we talk about food a lot. A LOT. After stalking the Disney Halloween Treats online for weeks before we attended this party, we were thrilled to finally arrive and try all the new treats! And round up all the new Disney Halloween Party treats here. Know that some Halloween Snacks at Walt Disney World are “only” available as a party exclusive. While other Halloween snacks can be found across the parks throughout the fall. Check out all the Walt Disney World Fall and Halloween Snacks.
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
If you camp out for the fireworks show, you will catch a showing of this while you wait. The Sanderson sisters are joined by other Disney villains including Oogie Boogie, Maleficent, and others. This
What time is the Hocus Pocus Show at the Halloween Party?
The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, on the Cinderella Castle stage, can be viewed at 8:00 PM, 9:15 PM, 10:40 PM, and midnight.
Visiting Haunted Mansion During the Halloween Party
Always be sure to ride the Haunted Mansion during the Halloween Party. In addition to the cast members being dressed up and extra spooky, you also get the amazing Madame Carlotta sitting right outside the mansion, engaging with guests. She tells stories, and jokes and is such a fun addition to the experience at the party! We always make sure to see her in action every time we attend the party. While Haunted Mansion is one of our favorite Spooky Things at Walt Disney World all year long, it’s the most fun at Halloween.
Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Halloween Fireworks Show
Another tradition at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party is 360-degree fireworks show. 2018 saw the Hallowishes Fireworks Show officially retire and 2019 brought a whole new Fireworks show, Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular Fireworks Show. Complete with Mickey and Friends in a haunted house. We usually try to score a place right in front of the castle. But since it is a 360 show, any spot is going to be a good one! We also got to see this show by chance from California Grill and it was stunning from afar as well. Absolutely one of our favorite parts of any Disney trip is the chance to see fireworks… and this is truly one of the best!
Special Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Merchandise
The Disney Halloween Merchandise this year was adorable! In addition to the basic Halloween tees and ears available throughout the fall, the party guests get access to their own special merchandise, only available at the party. We loved the designs, in the style of the Mickey shorts we love so much.
