Photo Ops at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
NEW! Added to the Stitch’s Great Escape queue area, you can find cardboard cutout photo booths featuring Mr.Toad’s Wild Ride and Monster’s Inc. Be sure to take a look inside this otherwise unused space during the party for cute photo ops.
Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks
This Halloween fireworks show at Magic Kingdom features Jack Skellington and his dog Zero telling stories. Special features include digital art projections, fireworks, a new soundtrack, and more. Follow Zero as he leads the way with Mickey and friends trick or treating and stumbles upon a spooky haunted house! This show runs for a total of 12 minutes, we’d recommend planning to save your seat for the show about 30-60 minutes ahead of time. Check out our Top 5 Tips for Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks.
Disney Fireworks Show Dessert Party
Sure you’ve already paid for the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party ticket, but if you want a front-row seat at the Not So Spooky Spectacular Fireworks Show, you can pay extra to attend the dessert party. Ghoulish goodies, sparkling cider, fruits, cheeses, and treats await. While we wouldn’t recommend using precious Halloween Party time for a dessert party, you can check out our dessert party experience here to see if it may work for you. Grab tickets to Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace.
Boo to You Parade Disney Halloween Parade
In our minds, the Boo To You Parade is sacred so we were a little nervous as to how 2019’s new additions would change up our favorite Disney Halloween Parade Lyrics. But it ended up being OK! The Spectral Bride, of Haunted Mansion fame, joined the parade, gliding her way among the spirits. Buzz Lightyear and Alien Explorers were also added for a little futuristic fun, Plus Edna Mode and the Incredibles now have their very own new float as well. While we’re still waiting for more Disney villains to be added to the lineup, we’ll take these fun new additions in the interim.
Trick or Treat at Magic Kingdom
Trick or Treating at Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party happens all over the park! With trick-or-treat stations in each land, there is plenty of ground to cover. You will be given a trick-or-treat bag and starting goodies at the party entrance when you arrive. BUT, we recommend that if trick-or-treating is your goal, then be sure to bring your own trick-or-treat bag. As the one you get at the party is small.
But, remember, you’re not just there to Trick or Treat! While you can grab candy anyplace back home, the events, characters, rides, and exclusive snacks are only available during the party. Make the most of it!
Cadaver Dans in Frontierland
The Dapper Dans get all dressed up for Halloween and serve up music and “deadpan” humor for Halloween fun during the party. Complete with deadpan humor this quartet sings familiar songs of the season. They typically appear on the balconies above the Frontierland buildings and sing throughout the evening. Be sure to catch a song or two as you make your way around the park.
Disney Halloween Ride Overlays
Tomorrowland rides will be getting new overlays as Disney starts to heavily promote that area of the park. And these rides got extra spooky with new music and overlays of color. So we’re expecting more of the same.
- Mad Tea Party Tea Cups. The teacups on the Mad Tea Party will now have a cool new lighting effect for riders during the Party. The light will change colors and you might even too! Sound a bit mad? Nah, we are excited about this fun little addition to this classic ride.
- Space Mountain. On Space Mountain, riders will be treated to a new soundtrack. So if you’re already a huge Space Mountain fan, you’ll definitely want to check that out during the party.
- Pirates of the Caribbean. Officially a “Posse” of live pirates, causing a raucous will be part of the Pirates overlay for the Halloween Party.
- Monster’s Inc Laugh Floor. complete with a Halloween theme, the laugh floor gets extra spooky during the evening’s shows.
- Haunted Mansion. While the ride itself doesn’t change, the cast members get dressed up in their best Halloween garb. and be sure to keep an eye out for Ghostly performers on the lawn of Haunted Mansion throughout the night.
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, on the Cinderella Castle stage, can be viewed at 8:00 PM, 9:15 PM, 10:40 PM, and midnight. If you camp out for the fireworks show, you will catch a showing of this while you wait. The Sanderson sisters are joined by other Disney villains including Oogie Boogie, Maleficent, and others.
Disney Junior Experiences at the Halloween Party
If you have little ones, Storybook Circus will also be hosting a Disney Junior Jam, a dance party featuring some of the most beloved Disney Junior Characters! This is a great way to help little ones shake their sillies out in the Dumbo area of the park.

Walt Disney World Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Map
Hi! Thank you for the information! My friends and I are planning a girl’s trip to Disney World 9/23/22-9/26/22. Since we’re only doing 3 days in the parks, we don’t want to plan a MK day on a day when we’ll get kicked out at 6pm. Any idea when is the latest Disney would announce the dates for MNSSHP? We’re itching to plan, but really need to know. 😊 As early as people plan for Disney trips, I’m surprised they have not made this announcement yet.
Hey Erin, thanks for writing in! We too are surprised they haven’t confirmed anything yet. Unfortunately, Disney has not released the official news yet, though we’re expecting something to be shared by late May, so you may have to wait for a bit. If going by the previous year’s dates, both your September 24th and 26th, 2022 may see MNSSHP nights at MK. So while you could potentially plan around that, nothing is guaranteed until they make the announcement.
