If there’s one thing we don’t love at Walt Disney World, it’s waiting in line. You wait in line for rides, for the restrooms, and you’ll even wait in line for that ideal photo spot. So when Walt Disney World announced Disney Mobile Order, we were thrilled that there was now one less thing we would have to wait in line for.
Walt Disney World Mobile Order
One thing we’ve noticed is that a lot of people just aren’t using mobile order. Maybe it sounds too good to be true? Maybe it sounds like voodoo magic? Or maybe its because they just don’t know how it works..You guys love our quick and dirty guides, so here’s our quick and dirty guide to mobile order! Grab your phone and download the My Disney Experience App, because you’ll need that if you don’t have it already. Grab it on on iTunes or Google Play. Plus the mobile order system is integrated with Apple Pay and Gift Card payment options. And an “arrival window” time for you to pick it up.
What is Mobile Order at Walt Disney World?
It’s basically what it is implies. You order your food via Mobile. When it’s ready, voila, you get to skip the line and have a hot meal ready for you. It’s kind of like a Fastpass for food.
How Does Disney Mobile Order work?
Mobile Order is only available at quick service (counter service) restaurants(no snack carts or sit down restaurants) and it’s only available at certain quick serve restaurants, so not all restaurants will offer it.
We’ve seen Mobile Order loads of places! You can grab food on the go at Columbia Harbor House, Woody’s Lunch Box and Satu’li Canteen to name a few. You can also find a bunch of new places due to the new protocols around reopening. Check out all 40+ the Walt Disney World Restaurants that Offer Mobile Ordering.
You can also just check the My Disney Experience app, hot “Order Food” and it will show which restaurants have it available. Follow the prompts on the screen, adding whatever items you want, choose your payment method and checkout! But there is a Second Step, you can’t forget or you’ll never see that food you ordered.
What Do I do After I place My Disney Mobile Food Order?
Here is the part where we see most people get confused. Once you check out, that does NOT mean that your food is ready. You have to hit the “I’m ready to pick up my food” tab. And guess what, it’s at that point that they actually start making your food. So no need to press that tab when you are already there- you will end up waiting at the pick up window. It will usually take 5-10 minutes for them to get your order ready. Press the button as you’re leaving a ride or on your way to the restaurant and when you get there, it will be ready. It will actually tell you when its ready too, so there’s no guesswork! Super simple, right?! Now get out there, save yourself some time and mobile order 🙂
