5 Tips to Avoid the Crowds

at Walt Disney World

Special events, and festivals

Know where crowds are...

Holidays and vacation times

Weekends and evenings

Walt Disney World is generally crowded but these times are the worst.

Have Backup Transporation

Complimentary buses, the monorail and Skyliner all are packed during crowded times. Planning for an Uber, Lyft, or walking instead helps.

When parks are crowded, it's best to just get away! Grab lunch and take a stroll at a nearby resort until crowds lessen. Crowds are heaviest between 12-5pm .

Take the Shortcuts

Every park has pathways that aren't on the main drag. In Animal Kingdom you can walk near the Tree of Life to skip the crowds from Discovery Island to Asia.

Plan meals during  off-meal times. Eating from 10-12, 2-4 and 7-9 means you'll find lower ride lines when everyone else is eating.
