Star Wars Season of the Force Disneyland

Get ready to celebrate all things Star Wars at Disneyland Resort. With special events, snacks, activities, merchandise, ride overlays and more you’ll want to grab a blue milk and settle into the action. Disneyland’s Season of the Force takes place at Disneyland Resort from March 28- May 11, 2025. Featuring two months of Star Wars activities you can celebrate May the Fourth Be With You in style. Here’s everything to know about Star Wars Season of the Force at Disneyland.

What is Season of the Force at Disneyland?

Replacing Star Wars Month, the Season of the Force at Disneyland Park encompasses two months of fun featuring ride overlays, special merchandise, foods, parties and more. It also kicks off a new round of Ashoka storylines in the Star Tours Ride, and a new way to experience the fireworks in the Fire of the Rising Moon display, on select nights in Galaxy’s Edge.

Do I Need Season of the Force Tickets?

No, you do not need a special ticket. Disneyland’s Season of the Force is included in the cost of a Disneyland park ticket.

Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga

Beginning March 28, 2025, you can see the new Shadows of Memory nighttime projection show in Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge. Transforming the spires of Batuu, near the Millennium Falcon Ride, you can settle in for a dramatic musical score, lights, and images from the films. 

Luke Skywalker Encounter

Featuring the “shadowy” cloaks of Luke Skywalker, a mysterious figure is set to arrive in Batuu throughout the season, for a limited time. Possibly accompanied by R2D2, you may get a chance to meet this person dressed in Jedi robes during your trip. 

Fire of the Rising Moons Season of the Force Fireworks

This nighttime spectacular offers a different way to watch the Disneyland Fireworks, from Galaxy’s Edge. Featuring a musical score by John Williams, you can listen to favorite songs from Star Wars, accompanied by a glorious light display across Galaxy’s Edge. With the Millennium Falcon in the foreground, and mountains in the background, you’ll truly feel like you’re on another planet. Offered select nights throughout the Season of the Force. 

Hyperspace Mountain Ride Overlay for Season of the Force

This Star Wars overlay of Disney’s Space Mountain Ride is super popular, and takes you through the music of the Star Wars films. From joining an x-wing starfighter, as they battle the bad guys to seeing the Star Destroyer and TIE fighters up close, there are plenty of special nods to the Star Wars films in this overlay. Due to this rides popularity, it’s best to grab a Lightning Lane Pass for Hyperspace Mountain as soon as you enter the park. ( Or schedule it early with your Lightning Lane Multi Pass if you’re staying on property.) Otherwise, plan to wait in line! This ride is popular during this time of year. 

Star Tours Ahsoka Storylines

Featuring 250 storyline options, Star Tours is different every time you ride it!  Ahsoka storylines featuring Ahsoka Tano, Cassion Andor, and Mandalorian pals, Din Djarin and Grogu are all part of the mix. You can find these Star Wars characters on the planet Peridia in the new storytelling that you may get on the ride. As Star Tour features a variety of storylines shared at random get ready to ride multiple times to see them all.

Star Wars Batuu Bounty Hunters Game

Available all year long you can play this game with your MagicBand. This MagicBand+ integration allows guests to seek virtual bounties in the Disney Play App as they journey through Galaxy’s Edge. Part of this Disney AR experience allows the player to see whose “hiding in the shadows” across the land.

Holopuck Magic Shot from Disney Photopass

During Season of the Force, for guests using the Disney Photopass service, you get a chance to join a variety of Star Wars characters, and backgrounds as part of your photo. You can even create a “holographic image” that radiates from the puck as part of the Magic Shot.

Galactic Creation at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel 

Honoring Disney’s Grand Californian Food Display tradition, often seen at Disneyland for the holidays, you can now find a replica of Galaxy’s Edge in the Great Hall of the resort. No Park ticket required! Featuring the Millennium Falcon arriving in Black Spire Outpost, this giant rice krispie treat creation was created by the in-house Disney culinary team. Made with 300 pounds of powdered sugar, 80 pounds of crisped rice cereal, 60 pounds of marshmallows, 100 pounds of dark chocolate, and more, be sure to look for the details, and the hidden Mickeys!

Disneyland After Dark Star Wars Nite

Offered select nights in April and May, from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM, this specially ticketed event gets you even more Star Wars magic after hours! With fewer people in the park and more time with your favorite rides, you can take advantage of special activities, snacks, merchandise and more! Rare characters, projection displays on Sleeping Beauty Castle and “it’s a small world,” are also part of the fun. Guests with a Star Wars Nite Ticket can enter the park as early as 6:00 PM. Guests with a ticket to this event do not need to make a theme park reservation to enter Disneyland Park at 6:00 PM or later.
