Disney Beauty Bag for Winter 15 Things We Love!

Whether you’re traveling to Disney or anywhere else this Winter, it’s important to have the right products in your beauty arsenal. The winter months usually mean less product and more moisturizers, but that’s no reason to not look your best. Here’s all our favorite rescue items to keep you glowing all through that chaotic holiday and chilly winter travel.

Skin Care for Winter

Skin care for winter is all about exfoliation and moisturizer. Keep away from any gunky products if you can help it. And be sure to give your skin days without makeup if you can. We actually just use a collection of great skin products instead of makeup through the colder months. Here’s our favorites.

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant

Ok, just to be clear here, Dr. Brandt products are totally worth the higher cost. And nothing beats this Microdermabrasion skin exfoliant. Seriously, just a few minutes rubbing this into your skin and you can pretty much feel a whole new layer of skin emerge. Add the RMS oil afterwards and your beauty sleep becomes like 10x more effective.

RMS Beauty Oil

When this environmentally friendly, clean beauty company RMS came out, we took a second look. This oil is an organic, pure combination of buriti oil, tamanu oil, and rosehip seed oil. It’s got a TON of antioxidants so if your skin is inflamed from winter cold, airplane cabin air, windburn, or too much indoor gas heat, this oil will fix it completely.

LXMI Beauty Balm

We love Glossier’s Balm Dotcom but this LXMI luxury melt is exactly what your skin needs for the winter months. Impressive clinical results will help you get through the extra stressful months of the holidays and winter with fewer lines, wrinkles, and hydrated skin that lasts for days.

Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream

A holy grail item if ever there was one, this hyaluronic cream has aloe vera to cool, and safflower oil to smooth lines. Great for day or night wear, it helps retain moisture and is less than 20 bucks. We also love the Rose Water essence, perfect to trap moisture in your skin before applying makeup.

Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay

Every once in a while throughout the winter months you’re going to need to re-balance your skin, and this clay mask is the one we like best. Non-drying, this clears out pores and restores moisture. Definitely use this one before and after your trip.

Glossier Priming Moisturizer

We’ve come to just love Glossier and this priming moisturizer is a great replacement for makeup or foundation. It creates a beautiful light veil and is perfect as all over daytime moisturizer.

Eyes for Winter

While your winter eye look can go from simple to dramatic, our lineup here is more about care, so that you can continue to look refreshed.

Shiseido Full Lash Serum

Okay, okay, we’re as guilty as the next girl for wanting crazy full lashes, especially during holiday parties. And we usually use mascara to get that look, but since lashes get a little more fragile in the winter months, and weather can be all over the place when traveling, we change up our strategy. So, instead of mascara, try this Asian beauty secret lash serum. It’s loaded with vitamins, antioxidants and things that make your lashes grow fast.

RMS “Un” Cover-Up

A clean beauty concealer, this once contains coconut oil and beeswax to add moisture and fill lines. The color is self-adjusting, so if you go a little dark or a little light, no worries- it self-corrects.

Tarte Sex Kitten Eyeliner

This eyeliner is a recent surprise find that actually works and stays on no matter what. We talk about eyeliner a lot in our other posts. Because really if everything else is failing, it sorta doesn’t matter if your eye makeup looks good. Another cheap find, we love having this one on hand for simple and dramatic looks.

Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Palette in Pillow Talk or Uptown Girl

This one is splurge, from British beauty maven Charlotte Tilbury, but oh gosh, just look at these palettes!!! With a combo of soft browns, pinks, a little glitter, and a little matte you can get through any Rose Gold phase, posh party, News Years evening or wedding brunch. Seriously, we love that everything she has not only looks pretty but is also great for your skin.

Lips for Winter

Nars Afterglow Lip Blam in Orgasm

It’s no secret that Nars afterglow balm has been the holy grail lip balm for girls who need lipstick, but don’t like lipstick, but still need to look amazing. Orgasm is like the best selling balm shade of all time so grab it if you can.

Cheeks for Winter

Winter cheeks are all about a soft glow and less about full on color ( unless it’s evening of course) so we usually just go for bronzers or something light. In addition to our favorite Benefit bronzer, these are our others perfect for winter.

Nars Bronzing Powder in Laguna

Ahhhh, what we wouldn’t do for that lovely Pacific Islands glow in the middle of an Ohio winter. Thankfully, this Nars bronzer is light, with a little shimmer and will last forever. Make sure to use the best bronzing brush for the cleanest finish. Just lightly add for a little glow right after your moisturizer has set and dried.

Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow and Mood Boosting Blush, Natural

This bronzer/blush is a Target find and less than 10 bucks. We love love love that it actually has plant antioxidants that make you happy and the fact there are little hearts in the palette is also adorable. But in truth, this stuff works beautifully. It’s multifaceted color is perfect for all skin tones and it stays on all day, which is such a bonus when traveling!

Hair Care for Winter

Winter months and hectic travel sometimes means we wash hair less. Especially since that indoor heat can also wreak havoc on luscious locks. So we really just need a scalp detox, and since Lauren Conrad recommended Act and Acre we just had to give it a try.

Act and Acre Cold Press Scalp Detox

This scalp detox is a collection of essential oils that you can treat your scalp with before you leave and after you get back from your trip. Just do a quick exfoliation of the scalp with some sea salt or baking soda, wash hair, and rinse. Then just partition hair and apply the scalp detox. The oils prevent environmental toxins from affecting your hair, moisturizes your scalp, strengthens your hair and a boost of antioxidants wards off dandruff caused by that dry winter indoor heat.

Body Care for Winter

Moroccan Oil Treatment

So while you can use Moroccan Oil Treatment for your hair, we really also love it for your skin, especially during the winter. If you’ve been looking for a warm scent that just so happens to drench your skin, then use this oil all over your body throughout the winter. You’ll ward off razor bumps, dry elbows and knees, and you’ll small amazing.

Laila Perfume 3.4 oz.

And finally we couldn’t write something about winter beauty while traveling without making a plug for our favorite Disney Epcot Norway perfume, Laila. This perfume smells like winter- cool, and fresh and clean- and it’s absolutely addicting.
