Butterbeer Coffee Latte
This Butterbeer Latte is the perfect mix of sweet buttery flavor and espresso. We generally use our Moka Pot and illy coffee when making espresso, but we recently got a Nespresso machine and we have to say we are big fans. However you like to make your espresso, we think blonde espresso goes especially well with this, but feel free to use whatever you prefer. The blonde will give you a lighter coffee flavor. Whereas something darker will give you more of the espresso flavor. It’s up to you!
If you don’t have a moka pot, you can also use strong coffee (just add a higher ratio of coffee grounds to your water). Here are some blonde espresso options to make things easy.
Butterbeer Latte Ingredients
If you love coffee, like we do, chances are you already have some fancy syrups on hand. If not, you can easily grab most of these from Torani, and Target. What do you need to make a butterbeer latte? Making a Butterbeer Latte is easy! And really only requires a few ingredients. Here is what you will need for a Butterbeer Latte. The syrups can usually be found at grocery stores, World Market, or on Amazon. And everything else you can usually find at the grocery store.
- Espresso of choice, we like Nespresso Blonde Espresso best
- Milk of choice, we like whole milk, or oat milk
- Caramel Syrup
- Butterscotch Syrup
- Butter Extract Flavoring
- Whipped Cream
- Caramel Sauce Drizzle ( not the same as syrup)
Equipment needed to make a Butterbeer Latte
Luckily, you don’t need much to make this! You’ll need something to brew your espresso in, whether that’s an espresso machine, Nespresso machine, a Moka Pot, or running to Starbucks and actually buying two shots of espresso. If you have no way of making espresso, you can always make very strong coffee. It won’t be exactly the same, but it works in a pinch. You’ll also want to make sure you have something to measure the syrups with. I use a jigger from a bar set because it’s the easiest. But if you don’t have one, just remember that a tablespoon is equal to half a liquid ounce. So, for one ounce, you’ll need 2 tablespoons. Easy!
If you prefer a frothy milk on your latte, having a milk frother or steamer is a wonderful piece of coffee making equipment. But if you don’t, you can also make frothed milk on the stovetop.
