This pumpkin chai tea latte uses real pumpkin puree, and takes just a tiny bit of time on the stove. It soothes away stress, and ginger helps fight off colds. You will be amazed at how well this warm fall drink turns out.

While chai tea is easy to just buy in a bag or carton, it’s also easy to modify to something truly special. For this cozy fall drink you’ll need just a few ingredients, and it really is all about how far you want to take it! For you can add more cream or milk to make it creamier. Or add more cinnamon and ginger to make it spicier. Whatever you fancy, it’s all up to you. This Cinderella inspired drink is luscious and combines ready ingredients easy to find in the fall. Most particularly, pumpkin. Note, this is the Pumpkin Puree in a can, not the Pumpkin Pie Mix. We’ll walk you through the steps and ingredients, and you’ll be able to make the best latte.

Ingredients

  • 2 c. Almond Milk
  • 1 c. Water
  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1/4 c. Pumpkin Puree
  • 3 Black Tea Bags
  • 3-4 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • Pinch Ground Ginger (topping)
  • Pinch Nutmeg (topping)
  • 1 c. Almond Milk + 2 tbsp Sugar- Foamed

Know that there are shortcuts you can take here as well. You can substitute Chai Tea bags, instead of black tea, and simply omit the extra spices. You can also substitute the almon milk for any milk of choice.

Instructions

Grab a saucepan with a spout if you have one. It will make the whole pouring the drink into a cup later… easier.

In a medium-size saucepan combine the following:

  • 2 c. Almond Milk
  • 1 c. Water
  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger

Remove the pan from the stove, then whisk in the 1/4 c. Pumpkin Puree.

Then add 3 Black Tea Bags to the warm pumpkin milk and steep 5 minutes. Once steeped add the next set of ingredients.

  • 3-4 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice

Set aside and make the Sugared Almond Milk foam.

  • 1 c. Almond Milk
  • 2 tbsp Sugar

Next, you will want to froth the milk and sugar. You can do this in any kind of frother. You can also simply shake the ingredients in a tightly sealed mason jar. Wither will broth up the milk and sugar and keep the drink light and fluffy.

Assembly

The last step in creating this pumpkin chai tea latte is to layer the components. Pour the Pumpkin Tea mixture in a mug. If this feels too thick for you, you can also strain it. Once you’ve poured the tea into the mug, pour in the milk mixture and top with the foam. Garnish with a pinch of ginger and nutmeg.

We like this tea served by itself, simply because it is so rich and creamy, and deserves to just be sipped. But we also like this paired with chai cookies or snickerdoodles. Anything that helps ring in fall. Hopefully you too will love this Disney inspired drink perfect for sweater weather!
