Photography can be an amazing hobby, but it can also be an expensive one! Whether you’re looking for something fun for the photographer in your life this holiday season, or maybe even just wondering what to ask for yourself, it can be tough because, well, not everyone can afford all the things that every photographer may dream of. But no worries, we have you covered here, with a variety of fun gifts for the photographer.

Whether your Photographer friend(or yourself) likes shooting pictures at home, in nature, or at Walt Disney World, we’ve picked out our favorite gifts for the photographer that we think they’ll love!
The Best Disney Vacation Cameras
Have a friend who’s always snapping pics but doesn’t have the slightest clue how to use a DSLR? We do too. And in today’s world of better phones, accessories, and fun alternatives that are not a problem at all. We love the Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 for a super fun, almost vintage-y types of shots. It’s not realistic to take all of your pics on this, but it’s super fun figuring out the shots you do take, and we love that the camera leaves you with a little bit of a souvenir when you’re done. In a world where pictures aren’t really printed much anymore, the tiny polaroid pictures are cute and are great for making photo collages when you get home. We love using this for taking pictures of grand landmarks, like Cinderella Castle and Spaceship Earth.
Not into the whole, tiny Polaroid camera trend? We think using your phone is a great way to capture photos on the go and you can always edit them later to help bring them to life. The newest phones have great cameras that can be enhanced with a few simple tools. While they may not be quite as convenient as grabbing your phone and taking shots, they’re much more affordable and super fun to play around with. Be sure to check out our best advice on how to take better photos with your phone.
Camera Accessories that Make Great Gifts
Does your friend always seem to have their DSLR camera with them? Always trying to learn the latest new tricks or capture super creative shots? Why not try a lens ball?! Not only is it reasonably priced, but it’s also something they’ll love learning to shoot with and create fun and inventive new images.
If you’re feeling really fancy (and generous) most photographers love what’s known as the “nifty fifty” or rather a 50 mm lens. These can be a little more on the expensive side but they are well worth it and is something any photographer would appreciate.
Every photographer needs a great camera strap to keep their DSLR safe and secure, while also being convenient. We love that these ones are handmade and that you can find just about any style or print on Etsy.
Even for the photographer that has the best equipment, no photo is complete until it’s been edited. Editing is basically like the darkroom of the good old days, and we never see any photo as being done until it’s been processed. A subscription to Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop is the perfect addition to any photographer’s collection of necessary equipment.
Photography Gifts for Bloggers
Have a friend trying to make it in the blogging/Instagram world? There are so many great products nowadays that can be helpful to bloggers and Instagrammers alike and we’re here to share a few of our favorites!
A clip-on ring light is pretty much a necessity for anyone who’s trying to win the Instagram Story game. These are inexpensive, super portable, make great stocking stuffers, and will help your best blogger pals with great lighting no matter where they are. Speaking of being portable, the gorilla tripod still stands as being one of our favorite tripods to date. Especially if you are a solo traveler to Walt Disney World and beyond, these can hold your phone or your camera and make self-timer shots that much easier.
Lightroom presets are the gift you never knew you always needed! We have an entire section of Lightroom Presets in our shop and we truly believe these are key to creating a consistent look or aesthetic and make the editing process so much easier. Shameless plug sure, but these presets are used on all of our social media photos and we wouldn’t recommend them if we didn’t think you’d love them as much as we do. Best of all, if you or your friend doesn’t want to drop money on a lightroom subscription, the mobile lightroom app is free! Just download the app, install a few presets, and voila!
There you have it, a whole new set of ideas of gifts for the photographer, that we hope you love. These products will add more fun, more ease, and hopefully more joy to photography this holiday season and we hope you were able to find something for the photographer in your life. Happy Shopping!
