At Disney’s Riviera Resort you are transported to a place along the “Riverian Coastline” accented by beautiful gardens, and spaces that are worth seeing. If you haven’t visited this resort yet, prepare to be inspired by the Peter Pan and Tangled mosaics that crawl the walls along the entrance nearest the Skyliner. And if you haven’t been to to this DVC resort yet, know that from the popular Disney Riviera Tower Studios to Villas, this resort has a variety of room types you can try out.
Of course, if you’re just visiting, there is plenty to do here as well. From grabbing a coffee at Le Petit Cafe, to playing bocce ball in the courtyard, this resort can help you feel like you’re actually on vacation! A Disney Character Breakfast with Mickey and Friends
Offering a Disney Character Breakfast, Disney’s Topolino’s Terrace features Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy in a truly artistic fashion. Only at Breakfast, each of the characters holds their own artistic talent and they are there to share it with you! We loved that the characters spent a good amount of time with each guest. And if you really want a fun interaction, be sure to dress the part and wear your best artsy attire!
Even if you or your little ones are not fans of meeting characters, this Disney’s Topolino’s Terrace character breakfast has a fun little show to keep you entertained during your meal. It’s not terribly overwhelming but is fun to watch, providing you with fun music and the characters dressed in their artistic best. While the word “affordable” really lies in the eye of the beholder, we like to think that Topolino’s is pretty affordable for Walt Disney World character meal standards. They do accept DVC and annual pass holder membership discounts here to help save you a few dollars. Topolino’s Terrace Rooftop Views
Walt Disney World has it’s share of restaurants that offer Rooftop Dining. Both Toledo and Dahlia at Disney’s Gran Destino Tower offer views of Hollywood Studios and Epcot, and California Grill offers views of Magic Kingdom. At Disney’s Riviera Resort, you can head to the rooftop lounge area during dinner and settle in for the night. This rooftop area has an outdoor Terrace Bar for Dinner Guests open at 5pm nightly, and offers an array of cocktails. Once here you can watch the fireworks over Hollywood Studios, across the lake at the nearby Disney Caribbean Beach Resort.
Signature Dining with Italian and French Cuisine
While you can find great Italian food at both Via Napoli and Trattoria al Forno at Disney World, Topolino Terrace offers a truly unique Mediterranean foodie experience. With foods like Gnocchi, Sea Scallops, Filet Mignon and Lemon Tiramisu you can count on a delectable dishes worth trying. Add in the extensive Mediterranean wine list, and curated Riviera inspired cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic and you have a dinner to remember. Dinner is offered 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The dress code at Topolino Terrace requires nice clothing to match the “sophisticated upscale aesthetic.” And why not dress for the occasion. Mickey Mouse Inspired Art Work and Decor
Topolino is the Italian word for Mickey Mouse and the mouse himself can be seen honored in some of the decor! Taking it’s cue from the villages along the Riviera. You can spot stonework, carvings, textures and colors across the restaurant that feel elegant and Mediterranean. The Mickey in the restaurant sign is just one of many you can see here.
The Atmosphere
Did we mention Disney’s Riviera Resort is beautiful! Furthermore, Topolino Terrace just lends to that elegant European vacation vibe. Frankly, it is fancy. The atmosphere here is a bit of quiet luxury. Fresh flowers, glass covered wine cabinets featuring dozens of Mediterranean sourced wines and loads of natural light from the rooftop lounge, reminds us a bit of the Spanish version over at Toledo’s Restaurant. If you’re looking for a restaurant for a Disney Girl’s Trip, or Disney date night, this is it. Topolino’s Terrace is a great place for a beautiful atmosphere, that offers up a great meal.
How do you get to Disney’s Riviera Resort?
For starters, it’s important to know that the Disney Riviera Resort is easily accessible. A ride on the new Disney Skyliner, transport by bus, or a Minnie Van can get you there easily. If you have driven your own car to Walt Disney World you can even park at the resort while you eat. So, don’t let the location deter you. We think it’s well worth the special trip to check out this Italian-themed restaurant.
