Hanukkah Shows and Movies to Watch for the Season

While Disney Plus has “some” movies and shows to watch for Hanukkah we just had to add in a few more absolute favorite Hanukkah movies that you can find elsewhere.

Hitched for the Holidays ( 2012)

Absolutely one of our favorite Christmas Hanukkah Movie mashups, Hitched for the Holidays stars Joey Lawrence and Emily Hampshire in this classic Christmas Romantic Comedy. Hs family’s Catholic, her family’s Jewish, and both are avidly practicing! So when these two agree to be the others plus one for the holiday season, the deal is sealed. Filled with fun holiday antics, loads of misunderstandings and a conniving grandmother, bent on making this fake relationship, real this is one you’ll want every year. Hitched for the Holidays is avaiable on Hulu with Live Tv, Amazon Prime and Peacock. You can also see this Christmas Movie on Hallmark.

An American Tail  (1986)

One of the best holiday movies, An American Tail, by animation great, Don Bluth, follows the Mouskewitz family on this journey to America. In this film we learn all about a little mouse named Fievel and what happens when he gets separated from his family during the journey. A true gem of a film, this one features memorable songs and an amazing voice cast. Bluth had left Disney studios in 1979 along with a slew of other animators, after 20 years working there. The amazing storytelling and animation will have you wanting to watch all his films.

The Holiday Home

The Holiday ( 2006)

This Christmas Movie on Hulu stars Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet and Jack Black. This Nancy Meyers movie star Kate Winslet in the lead role as a character hosting a Hanukkah party for her elderly neighbor during the season. We love that this film is a bit more smart about the holidays, and gives a little something to think about as well.

 Mistletoe and Menorahs ( 2019)

This new Christmas Movie on Hulu is just what you need if you’re looking for some laughs. Or to educate a friend confused about the holiday. When a determined toy company executive, Christy, must learn about Hanukkah in a hurry to land a big account, she enlists the help of her co-worker’s friend Jonathan, who happens to also be in desperate need of turning his bachelor pad into a Christmas Wonderland to impress his girlfriend’s father.
