Babes in Toyland ( 1961)
One of the Classic Disney Christmas Movies, this one only features Christmas at the end of the film. While there have been many variations of Babes in Toyland we like the one from 1961 best. Featuring Mouseketeer Annette Funicello, Tommy Sands, and Ed Wynn, this live-action Disney classic is a mix of all the stories we know from Mother Goose. Fantastic songs and a dreamy Christmas wedding make this a very fun holiday watch. On Disney Plus.
Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Christmas ( 1997)
Let’s face it, if you watched Beauty and Beast as a kid, this little Disney Christmas movie can really take you back! Beauty and the Beast The Enchanted Christmas is a little romance-y, featuring the Beast learning a lesson and Belle in her Christmas outfit! What more could you ask for in a Christmas cartoon for the holidays? On Disney Plus.
Disney’s A Christmas Carol (2009)
A few years ago during Jim Carrey’s heyday, Disney made A Disney Christmas Carol featuring our favorite funny Hollywood actor as the voice of Scrooge himself. Fun facial expressions and great music make this spin on A Christmas Carol a great way to introduce kids to Charles Dicken’s most important holiday story. And if you’re looking for Disney Christmas Movies this one gets you all the magic of a Disney Animated Christmas movie, with a bit of grown up humor. On Disney Plus.
Duck the Halls: A Mickey Mouse Christmas Special (2016)
Absolutely one of our favorite Disney Christmas Movies, we LOVE the new Mickey shorts that have been part of the Disney Channel and now Disney Plus over the last few years. So when we saw that both a Disney Halloween Episode and a Christmas Episode were available to add to our Disney Holiday Movie lineup, oh boy! The Halloween episode, The Scariest Story, in this set is fun and a little spooky, but the Christmas Episode, Duck the Halls, is why you should own this DVD. Or add Mickey Mouse: Merry and Scary to your digital collection. Duck the Halls follows Donald Duck reluctant to migrate with his fellow birds so that he can stay back and experience Christmas. What ensues is a hilarious, very hilarious, story with fun songs, anecdotes, and of course another great Christmas lesson. An absolute must-see show. Both are on Disney Plus.
Ernest Saves Christmas ( 1988)
If you’re up for classic cranberry sauce shaped like a can, and a load of holiday antics, then Ernest Saves Christmas may be just what you need. Full of slapstick comedy fun, this kid-friendly film, follows Ernest as he tries to help a wayward teen during the Christmas holiday. Along the way, they find the Christmas spirit, Santa Claus and some flying reindeer.
Godmothered ( 2020)
While you may not think this is a Disney Christmas Movies, it is. This Christmas story in the big city is a Cinderella tale, featuring a Godmother in training, as she tries to prove that love, and happily ever after really do exist! But she’ll have some convincing for single mom, Mackenzie. This fun family film is perfect for a bit of Christmas fluff when you really need it.
Good Luck Charlie it’s Christmas ( 2011)
One of the best Disney Channel Christmas Movies, Good Luck Charlie it’s Christmas is a wonderful full-length Disney Christmas film that aired on the Disney Channel for Christmas. Following the Duncan family across the country as they get split up and back together again through harried Christmas travel plans. Fun for the whole family, and it’s one of the Christmas Movies on Disney Plus that your tweens will want to watch over and over again.
Home Alone 1, 2 and 3 ( 1990, 1992, 1997)
One of the quintessential Disney Christmas Movies of all time, Eight-year-old Kevin McAllister brings in the big (toy) guns when he’s left home alone on accident over the Christmas holiday as his family flies off to Paris. He takes on grown-up responsibilities as his mother tries to get back to him through the nightmare that is holiday travel. But Kevin knows what he is doing and can fend off the bad guys trying to rob his house, like nobody’s business. Check out our Home Alone Movie Night.
I’ll be Home for Christmas ( 1998)
Nothing says Christmas like Jonathan Taylor Thomas. In this holiday road trip film from Los Angeles to New York, I’ll Be Home For Christmas combines all sorts of family obligations and a Porsche bribe if our hero can make it home for Christmas Dinner. While this film won’t be an annual must-see in your Christmas arsenal you can still find lessons of the season in this Disney Christmas flick. On Disney Plus.
Jingle All the Way ( 1996)
A classic Christmas film, about the lengths a father will go through to get this year’s hot toy for his son. We LOVE this film for the Sinbad and Arnold Schwarzenegger chemistry, and all those Christmas feels. Funny, family-friendly, and completely relatable. Except for the part with the black-market Santas of course. Grab Jingle all the Way on Amazon Prime Video or DVD. On Disney Plus
Mickey’s Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse ( 2001)
As one of the early 2000s Disney Christmas Movies that went straight to DVD, Mickey’s Magical Christmas is NOT on Disney Plus, but you can buy it from Amazon through the link if you’re hoping to see it in its entirety. That said parts of Mickey’s Magical Christmas are on Disney+. This is what you need to know.
Mickey’s Magical Christmas was a direct-to-video film back in the day and includes Pluto’s Christmas Tree ( 1952), and Mickey’s Christmas Carol (1983), Both of these Disney Christmas shows are on Disney Plus, just separately. The other two shorts included in this movie are Donald on Ice ( 1999), and The Nutcracker ( 1999), but neither of these are available on Disney Plus.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas ( 1999)
More a compilation of Disney Christmas Movies, this one is remembered most by the 2000s kids. Including three Mickey Mouse Christmas tales, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas includes Donald Duck: Stuck on Christmas featuring Huey, Dewey, and Louie reliving the Christmas over and over ( until they get it right). In A Very Goofy Christmas Goofy tackles the Santa Claus problem with his son Max. You can grab Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas on Amazon Prime as well. On Disney Plus.
Mickey’s Christmas Carol ( 1983)
Absolutely our favorite version of A Christmas Carol, this one is one of the best Disney Christmas Movies. Mickey’s first appearance on television after 30 years in 1983 arrived with Mickey’s Christmas Carol. This classic Christmas cartoon is done in the classic Disney animation style, with sepia credits and a beautiful musical score. This is a must-see Disney Christmas film, featuring all your favorite Disney characters. With Mickey as Bob Cratchit and Scrooge McDuck himself as Ebenezer Scrooge. Filled with Christmas Lessons this holiday show is perfect for kids young and old and grown-ups too. On Disney Plus.
Mickey Saves Christmas ( 2022)
This short feature is one of the newer Disney Christmas Movies that surely has a toddler following, as it’s all about Mickey and Friends as they have to help Santa save Christmas. With time running out, our favorite groups of friends learn the true meaning of Christmas. Perfect for toddlers and younger children this one was originally shown on Disney Junior. On Disney Plus.
Miracle on 34th Street ( 1947, 1994)
The original Miracle on 34th Street, featuring Edmund Gwenn, Natalie Wood, Maureen O’Hara, and John Payne is as classic Christmas as it gets! Absolutely a must-watch for the holidays this black and white Christmas film is one of the best Christmas Movies from Classic Hollywood and is on Disney+ and is exactly what you need for holiday nostalgia. The remake in the 90s is also well worth the watch with an amazing and heart-wrenching performance by Richard Attenborough. While not often thought of as a Disney Christmas Movies, Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox, put this within the realm of things that Disney now owns. On Disney Plus.
A Muppets Christmas Letters To Santa ( 2008)
As a homage to the United States Postal Service back in 2008, the Muppets embarked on trying to get an important Christmas letter to Santa before Christmas arrives! With Nathan Lane, Whoopi Goldberg, and Uma Thurman alongside our favorite troupe, A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa combines all the fun and challenges of the holiday rush with the lessons of Christmas. One of the most perfect Disney Christmas Movies for the whole family. We love love love this movie as an afternoon flick to watch while baking. Grab the Muppets Christmas Letters to Santa DVD or the digital copy on Amazon Prime, if you don’t have Disney Plus to watch this classic. On Disney Plus.
The Muppets Christmas Carol ( 1992)
Probably one of our favorite Disney Christmas Movies and the most popular Muppets Christmas Movie, The Muppet Christmas Carol is a MUST SEE holiday film. Sir Michael Caine stars as Ebenezer Scrooge in this musical re-telling of Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol. With ghosts following Scrooge through the past, present, and future to teach important life lessons, we love the extra humor we get from Miss Piggy as Mrs. Cratchit and Gonzo as Charles Dickens himself. This is a classic holiday film we watch every year and have even made a Muppets Christmas shirt to match for your next Muppets Christmas Movie Night or watch party. On Disney Plus.

Oh my garland! One of the newest Disney Christmas Movies, Noelle is on Disney+ and is definitely worth the watch! Following Noelle as the daughter of Santa Claus, Noelle is great at supporting her brother, Nick, soon to take over as Santa himself. He, on the other hand, has other plans and jets off to Arizona to open a yoga studio. We love the sibling relationship and positivity, and the way to discovering yourself and your true path is always a surprise. A super fun Christmas film filled with magic, gorgeous costumes, and a sunny location to help you feel like you’re on vacation. Grab our Noelle T-shirt to help you get in the spirit! On Disney Plus.
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms ( 2018)

One Magic Christmas ( 1985)
A Disney Classic, One Magic Christmas is about the power of believing. Believing in something larger than yourself. This one gets at the heart of Christmas. When mom Ginny is discouraged with her life, an Angel comes and “takes away” everything that she holds dear. It’s soooo difficult to watch, but sooo amazing to see how it all resolves, teaching us that we always already have everything we need. That we’re consistently guided and watched over if only we believe. One Magic Christmas is a super powerful Disney must-see Christmas movie. On Disney Plus.
Prep and Landing ( 2009)
Prep and Landing is very fun! And adds a few grown-up problems to keep the adults interested while the kids wonder if Santa is going to get out of this one.
