Maybe you’re not thrilled about the idea of checking your luggage these days or maybe you just need something small for a quick staycation or local road trip. Or maybe you just need a cute carry-on for future trips! Regardless of your plans, a good carry-on or weekender bag is something we feel is a must-have, whether you’re going on shorter or longer trips. We have gathered our favorite magical weekender bags, so whether you’re looking for something Disney-related, or maybe a little more Wizarding World, we’ve got you covered with this list!
Magical Weekender Bags
Traveling can be so much more magical with the right accessories! No matter your destination, be prepared with one of these adorable weekender bags. We highly recommend shopping through Rakuten when you can to earn cashback and learn about whatever deals the site you’re shopping on is offering! If you’re not already a member, you can get a $10 bonus just for signing up here.
We love a good weekender bag for a lot of reasons, but in general, they help us stay more organized
Disney Magical Weekender Bags
Box Lunch is always a great place to look for any of your fandom needs. Not only are they a company that gives back, but they also have some of the cutest exclusives around. We are big fans of this Peter Pan Duffel from Loungefly, which makes the perfect weekend bag. It has separate compartments, making it easy to sort your items how you like them.
Vera Bradley is also another great place to look for Disney weekender bags. Their collections change all the time, but we’ve owned several designs and prints and are always happy with the quality. You can find Vera Bradley Disney bags on Shop Disney or on the Vera Bradley website of course. Pottery Barn Kids is actually a great place to look too, as they always have new Disney-themed merch arriving. And if you don’t mind, or are even a fan of, some of the less subtle Disney prints(think full characters) then you might just love this one!
If you’re a diehard Disney Dooney fan then check out the Disney Dooney and Bourke Weekender Bag. This classic bag costs about 400 dollars but is well worth it! It matches the Disney Dooney and Bourke Sketch Collection and is one that will surely last a long time!
If you’re looking to spend a pretty penny on your weekender bag, look no further than Gucci. That’s right, Gucci makes a lot of Disney merch actually and this one featuring Donald Duck is the perfect size for that weekend getaway.
Sometimes you just need a bag for one night and don’t require a whole lot of space. We love this Zara bag for just that! It’s marketed as a shopping tote, but it’s big enough to fit a couple of clothing items and a few toiletries.
And if you’re hoping to find a steal, we always recommend checking places like Poshmark or even eBay. On harder to find items, you’ll likely see a price increase, but if you’re looking for something simple, you can usually find a good deal!
Disney Backpacks for a Quick Weekend
Maybe all you need is a backpack and if that’s the case, then you’re in luck! There are so many great choices and if you can squeeze all of your weekend things into a backpack, here are a few of our favorites! This Mickey backpack from Pottery Barn Teen is not only super simple but is big enough to fit the few essentials for those minimalist packers.
And I can personally attest to the roominess of the Vera Bradley campus backpack as this style has been my carry-on for years! They get new designs all the time and you can find them on ShopDisney and the Vera Bradley website. This bag could usually fit a few outfits, toiletries, my laptop, my camera and even a travel curling iron when we used to fly down for a quick weekend trip. Now that we will likely be committing to road trips for a little longer, I have a feeling this bag will still be the main staple for my essentials!
Another Disney backpack we are loving for travel is this Peter Pan one from Box Lunch. Not only is it super cute, but it’s also a great size for traveling without being too bulky.
Harry Potter Magical Weekender Bags
Vera Bradley has a great Harty Potter collection and yes we mentioned them in our Disney section, but they have a weekender in their Harry Potter collection so why we might as well mention them again! Amazon also has a fun Harry Potter one you can find here that’s perfect for those Hogwarts Express trips!
Sometimes simple is best and if that’s the case, this Harry Potter duffel from Walmart will not only suit your style but your budget as well.
Harry Potter Backpacks for a Weekend trip
We are fans of pretty much any Harry Potter merch that comes from Pottery Barn Teen. Many of the items in our Harry Potter gift guide are from there and that’s because we own a bit from their collection and love it! This backpack is no exception. And with multiple pockets and two different sizes, this backpack can easily fit your weekender needs. You can shop their whole collection here!
And again, Vera Bradley has you covered with their Harry Potter version of the campus backpack. Trust me when I say you can fit a reasonable amount of things into these bags. The amounts of pockets are really quite amazing too!
Hopefully, this list helps you find your next weekender bag for a magical vacation, staycation, or road trip!
