ABC Commissary Restaurant at Disney Hollywood Studios Review

ABC Commissary Restaurant at Disney Hollywood Studios Review

When it comes to Disney quick-serve restaurants, there is a gamut of options across Walt Disney World. From mediocre theme park food to unique flavorful meals, Hollywood Studios can provide them all. ABC Commissary can be found somewhere in between these two ends of the spectrum. The menu includes sandwiches and fries, alongside Mediterranean salads, plant-based dishes, and seasonal treats. If you’re looking for a quick lunch or dinner under that $15 per person price point, with generous portions, then ABC Commissary may be just what you’re looking for.

In general Hollywood Studios doesn’t typically have food you can write home about. With the exception of the unique food flavors and combinations found in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.  Everything else in this park tends to offer up basic American cuisine. With sub-par dining at PizzeRizzo’s, family-friendly dining at Backlot Express, and typical fast food at the other quick-serve dining locations at Hollywood Studios, let us take a minute to talk about how ABC Commissary is a little different.

ABC Commisary Atmosphere

ABC Commissary Atmosphere

Unlike Rosie’s All-American Café, and Fairfax Fare over on Sunset Boulevard, which offers similar menus, ABC Commissary offers indoor dining. This is HUGE when it comes to hot and rainy Florida weather. Tucked away between the Chinese Theater and Grand Avenue, ABC Commissary features a theme that incorporates the most popular of Disney’s ABC franchises. Adverts, billboard-sized posters, and familiar faces are all part of this television-focused experience. While theming here leaves something to be desired for the Disney fan, television junkies are sure to get their fill. The inside of this restaurant is basic. Walk-up counters, and a two-sided dining room, with condiment stations on each side help, keep the noise down. Both tables and booth seating are available, and windows cover one side of the restaurant for ample lighting. Indoor palm trees lend to a “Hollywood” vibe and break up the crowds of people.

ABC Commissary Menu

Serving classic American cuisine, this restaurant offers large portion sizes of just about everything. If you’re visiting Walt Disney World with children, looking to eat enough in one sitting to cover both lunch and dinner, or wanting to maximize every cent of your Disney Dining Budget, then ABC Commissary is a good choice for your next meal. Check out the ABC Commissary Menu for an updated look at everything offered here.

Chicken Club Sandwich

A classic, and safe choice, this Chicken Club Sandwich is big enough to share. Served with a side of fries, this meal will hold you over for a while! This sandwich includes marinated Chicken, Bacon, Provolone, Avocado Ranch, Lettuce, and Tomato served on a Toasted Brioche Bun with your choice of Side.

Mediterranean Salad

Offered with hummus (for vegans/ vegetarians) or chicken, this Mediterranean Salad comes on a platter with a half-sized flatbread. Filled with bitter greens, kalamata olives, and feta cheese, this is a dinner-sized salad and filling, even without the chicken.

Lunch at ABC Commissary

ABC Commissary Seasonal Snacks

Offered throughout the year, ABC commissary is known for offering seasonal treats when they come available for special events and holidays. Usually offered for a limited time, these treats are typically between 4-8 dollars and include seasonal flavors. For fall, the treats we tried were the chocolate mousse and the caramel apple tart. and then of course we also got the Frozen Apple Cider which is a staple around the parks this time of year.

Caramel Apple Tart

New for the season, this Disney Halloween Snack is a Spiced Caramel Cheesecake Mousse Apple served atop a Cinnamon-Apple Tart. This decadent treat was actually quite lovely. filled with tiny apple pie filling apples, atop a flaky tart crust, this snack was a must-have for us. The apple part of this dessert consists of a cheesecake mousse that was slightly spiced and sweet, perfect for those who love cheesecake.

Chocolate Mousse

For chocolate lovers, the chocolate mousse was also very good. The raspberry here wasn’t too overpowering and the multilayered treat combined enough flavors and textures to make this more than just a mousse. This was a Raspberry-Dark Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate-Almond Cake, and a layer of Hazelnut Crunch and Whipped Chocolate-Hazelnut Cheesecake.
