Do You Need a Reservation for Steakhouse 71?
Yes, we highly recommend it. While the desk attendant is sometimes able to offer walk-up spots, it’s best to make a reservation, which you can do in the My Disney Experience App, on the Disney Website, or by phone.

The Steakhouse 71 Restaurant is located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort on the first floor and accessible via several options.

By Car: If you have reservations to a Disney Resort Restaurant, you are able to park in the Resort Parking Lot for up to 3 hours. This is only available if you have a valid Restaurant Reservation, as the parking lot attendant will check.
Steakhouse 71 Breakfast Menu
The Steakhouse 71 Breakfast Menu includes a variety of classic breakfast options, from assorted pastries to eggs to steak dishes, there is something for every palette. Consisting of appetizers, entrees, sides, and drinks, you can also grab a kid’s menu and allergy-friendly options here. So let’s dive in to see what’s on the menu at Steakhouse 71.
Appetizers at breakfast? Yes, please. For us, our favorite breakfast accouterment is pastries. So, any restaurant including these on the menu automatically gets a gold star. The Fresh-Baked Pastries here included a lemon muffin, a chocolate croissant, a regular croissant, a chocolate muffin, and apple and cheese danish. all were lovely and perfect to share among a couple of people.
Other appetizer options included a Fresh Fruit Plate, including melon and berries, and Oatmeal.
Entrees We Tried
Offering a variety of egg-based dishes, steak options, and pancakes, there is something for everyone. We chose several popular options for our breakfast at Steakhouse 71.
Walts Prime Rib Hash was a top pick for us, and a signature breakfast at Steakhouse 71. This dish included Seared Prime Rib, Fried Potatoes, Caramelized Onions & Peppers topped with a Fried Egg. Perfect if you’re looking for a balanced meal, this dish was exquisitely prepared. The potatoes were well seasoned, and the rib melt in your mouth. Perfect if you’re looking for a little extra protein in your breakfast meal.
The Veggie Omelet was another showstopper on the menu. With Spinach, Mushrooms, Tomato, and Swiss served with Breakfast Potatoes, this meal was so filling! The biscuit was a lovely addition and the potato fries, perfectly crisp. The omelet had some wonderful flavors in it, and the swiss cheese really put it over the top. In fact, there was so much cheese, that we actually took some off! A great option for vegetarians if looking for a hearty breakfast.
The Steakhouse 71 Seasonal Pancakes at the time of this writing were Strawberry Shortcake and seriously tasted just like Strawberry shortcakes. These are Seasonally-inspired Pancakes with a choice of Bacon, Pork Sausage, or Chicken Sausage. As you can see from the picture, these pancakes come piled high with fruit compote and tiny meringues. Very delicious, and filling. If you’re dining with kids, you can easily get this and split it into two servings.
Additionally, you can get a variety of other egg dishes and breakfast options. Any variety of omelets is pretty much available, from ham and cheddar to western. And you can also get a basic egg, potato, and meat meal as well. Some notable options on the Steakhouse 71 Breakfast Menu are as follows.
- Floridian Eggs Benedict with Two-poached Eggs and Crab Cake with Hollandaise atop Toasted English Muffins served with Breakfast Potatoes
- Steakhouse 71 Feast includes Eggs Benedict, Scrambled Egg, Bacon, Sausage, Mickey-shaped Waffle, Bacon-Cheddar Grits, Breakfast Potatoes, Fresh Fruit
- Avocado Toast includes Avocado, Toasted Sourdough Bread, Caramelized Onion Jam
Offered a la carte, and in addition to your main entree there are sides to be had. Options include Bacon and Cheddar Grits, Bacon or Sausage, Breakfast Potatoes, and Chicken Sausage.
Steakhouse 71 Kid’s Breakfast Menu
The Kid’s Menu includes entrees and sides, which can be combined to make a meal. Choose 1-Entree and 2-Sides. Kid’s Entrees include Oatmeal with Dried Cranberries, Scrambled Eggs, or Mickey-Shaped Waffles. Side selections include Sliced Apples, Strawberry Yogurt, Breakfast Potatoes, Bacon, or Pork Sausage. Check out the Steakhouse 71 Kid’s Breakfast Menu for options.
One of the biggest disappointments of our Steakhouse 71 Breakfast experience was the complete lack of amazing coffee drinks. We prioritize coffee over everything. As such, we were shocked to learn they didn’t even have any syrups or even alternative milk on hand to make a latte. However, we ordered the 5-legged llama, of Mary Blair fame, in hopes of satisfying our coffee needs and were not impressed. Thankfully, there is a Joffrey’s Coffee Bar at the entrance of Disney’s Contemporary Resort that allowed us to get our coffee after breakfast.
Nevertheless, there were other drinks on the menu, both Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic. There are some light coffee options, like lattes ( though we didn’t have any luck with that), cappuccinos, punch, tea, and Joffrey’s French Pressed coffee. Nothing here really to write home about, and this was definitely an aspect of the menu we felt could have benefited from something special.
5 Legged Llama
The 5-Legged Llama is made with Joffrey’s Coffee™ Cold Brew, Maple, Vanilla, and Tonic Water. While the inclusion of the tonic water, should have been a warning, it wasn’t. Literally tasting like watered-down, fizzy black coffee. Actually, really disgusting. We couldn’t taste the maple or vanilla. The coffee was barely enjoyable under all the extra water. And the anise seed, which added notes of black licorice, made this all the worse! Definitely not worth the $5 and I’m not sure you could pay me to drink this again. As someone who loves black coffee, and fizzy drinks, I don’t recommend putting them together. This is a SKIP IT, for us.
On the plus side, if you’re looking for a mimosa that you can refill throughout your morning meal, then Steakhouse 71 has that! In fact, these are refillable and have no limit! So, if you’re a mimosa fan, get ready for as much champagne and orange juice as you can drink! The servers be sure to line up the next glass as the previous one gets empty, so you have plenty to occupy your breakfast. For the price of $19.99, this is a steal, especially when you consider how many mimosas you can drink in an hour. We love this for a Disney Girl’s Trip breakfast stop, and it’s an easy breakfast for Disney Adults looking for something special.
Steakhouse 71 Breakfast Cost
One of the best things about the Steakhouse 71 Breakfast is the cost. Entrees range from $15- $21 per person, and closer to $10 a person if you’re feeding kids. Add in the fact that this is a sit-down meal at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, with excellent service, and a great breakfast menu, and it’s easy to see why we recommend this place.
Whether you’re looking for Breakfast at Disney World with kids, as adults, or just somewhere outside of the parks, Steakhouse 71 Breakfast offers a great option for everyone. And since Disney’s Contemporary Resort is on the Monorail line, you can browse the giftshops, check out the cupcakes in the pastry case, stroll the courtyard, or catch the monorail. And don’t forget to grab that coffee at Joffrey’s Coffee Bar before you leave. 😉
