Harry Potter Easter Basket

Looking for ideas to add some magic to your Easter basket this year? We love a good theme; so we’ve put together some of our favorite finds to create a Harry Potter-inspired Easter Basket straight out of the Wizarding World! Whether you’re creating an Easter basket for a smaller wizard or a more seasoned one, we have you covered!

What do you need for a Harry Potter Inspired Easter basket?

You can be as creative as you like here, but of course, you’ll want a basket! Feel free to use something other than a conventional basket if you don’t have one already. If you need to buy one, we like something simple like this basket from Target, so you can dress it up however you like.

We usually like to stick to a budget so we chose items that won’t break the bank.  But we’ve tried to include a few things from different price ranges as well in case you like to spend a little more.  Here are some of our favorites!

Books for a Harry Potter Easter Basket

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone Minalima Edition is probably one of the most fun and creative editions of the Harry Potter series. If you don’t already own this edition, we think it is a must-have for any Harry Potter fan. Whether you’re putting this in an Easter basket for a younger wizard or a more seasoned one, you really can’t go wrong with this. With a beautiful cover, imaginative illustrations inside, and some interactive elements it’s a very unique and fun way to experience this story. And with the Chamber of Secrets edition coming out in October and currently available for preorder, we think this series is going to be a lot of fun to collect!

Does your little witch or wizard already own the whole book set? Why not add a beautiful Harry Potter bookmark to their basket? Etsy has a lot of great choices, and you can feel good about shopping small!

Sweet Treats for a Harry Potter Easter Basket

We love the sweets from the Wizarding World, so why not add a few to your Harry Potter Easter Basket.  For the adventurous wizard, you’ll definitely want to include Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans!  Who needs a chocolate bunny when you can have Chocolate Frogs? These chocolate frogs even come with a trading card traditional to the Wizarding World.  They’re the perfect size for a Harry Potter-themed Easter Basket and are a really fun twist on a traditional Easter basket treat.

Accessories for a Harry Potter Easter Basket

Does your wizard need some magical accessories to complete its wardrobe? We love the Hogwarts house scarves. Not only can they be used for full-blown Hogwarts house attire, but we also love that they can add a small touch of magic when you have to brave the muggle world too.

One of our other favorite accessories from the Wizarding World is Luna’s Spectrespecs! They’re fun and represent one of our favorite characters and we just think they’re extra magical. And they’re perfect Easter basket-sized! And if your witch or wizard is a fan of jewelry, Alex and Ani has some of the most magical rings and at a very reasonable price too.

Harry Potter Easter Basket Sized goodies

Sometimes you just need something small enough to fit into an Easter basket, right? We’ve chosen a few small, but still, very Easter Basket-worthy items to help you fill in some of that space! We love this pack of Harry Potter socks which comes with six pairs of low-cut socks, all in a different design. They’re super comfy and a fun way to wear a bit of magic every day.  Maybe your Wizard is a fan of collecting things, or maybe just a fan of cute things, but either way, we don’t think you can go wrong with a Harry Potter Funko POP figurine. There are so many to choose from and you choose Harry himself, Hedwig, Dumbledore, or even creatures from Fantastic Beasts! And they’re the perfect size for any magical Easter basket.

Do you usually include a plush bunny or something similar in your Easter Basket? This Hedwig Plushie is a great replacement if you’re choosing to make your Easter Basket Harry Potter-themed this year! Super cute and a really good size, she’s definitely one of my daughter’s favorites.

Or maybe games are more your style. We love adding games to our Harry Potter movie marathon weekend and we love this Harry Potter Trivia Game. It’s small and can really test your Harry Potter knowledge and we always have a lot of fun playing it!

Harry Potter Easter Basket Splurges

Everyone does Easter Baskets differently; so if you’re someone who likes to splurge on bigger items for your baskets, we have a few favorites that are in the higher price range and some that won’t fit inside the basket.  Alex and Ani always have some of the most magical accessories and this time turner necklace is high on the list of favorites.  They also have a matching bangle! These pieces are so detailed and sure to be a hit.

This time turner clock from Pottery Barn Teen is another very detailed and very beautiful piece, perfect for a Harry Potter-themed bedroom, home office, or online learning space! For the Wizarding fashionista, this Loungefly bag is at the top of our lists. And if you’re really looking to splurge on a statement gift, this Hogwarts Lego set is sure to impress.  With 878 pieces, this Lego set is sure to be as much fun to build as it is to display!
