Brunch at Remy On The Disney Dream Cruise Ship

Brunch at Remy On The Disney Dream Cruise Ship

If you’re looking for something special to do on your next Disney Cruise, then brunch at Remy may just be the ticket! While Palo tends to be the most popular brunch on a Disney Cruise, Remy is the more elevated experience of the two. Read on to learn all about Remy Brunch on the Disney Dream to see if it’s right for your next Disney Cruise vacation.

Dining on the Disney Dream

The Disney Dream has plenty of dining options. From poolside options, to the ship’s buffet, Cabanas, room service, and its three main dining rooms, you’re never going to go hungry. But for guests looking for a slightly more exclusive dining experience, and perhaps one without children, you’ll want to check out the adult only dining rooms. The Disney Dream is home to two of these restaurants. Palo and Remy. Palo, while still upscale, is the less fancy option. While Remy will be the classiest dining experience you can find on the Disney Dream.

Adult only Dining on the Disney Dream

Let’s chat about adult only dining on the Disney Dream. There are two options: Palo and Remy. Both serve brunch and dinner. And both require reservations. They will also both cost you extra. Palo is an Italian style restaurant and is known for its brunch. While also being more affordable, it has a more extensive menu, with plenty of food items to choose from. Remy, on the other hand, is more expensive and they choose the menu for you. They’re very different experiences. Which is great, because that means you have options!

Remy on the Disney Dream

Remy on the Disney Dream is located on Deck 11 aft. Here they serve brunch and dinner, and boasts a French theme, with nods to Remy from the movie Ratatouille. Throughout the restaurant, starting at the very front, you will see many references to the Little Chef himself. Remy can be found in the chandeliers, on the fabric of the seating and carved into the backs of the dining chairs. You’ll also find a bottle of wine from the movie that retails for over $50,000 a bottle!

The menu at Remy often changes. And since you don’t get to choose what items you get, that can be a little daunting. One thing to keep in mind with Remy is that if you have an allergy, food sensitivity, dietary restriction or preference or just don’t like something like seafood, make sure to let them know ahead of time so they can accommodate you. Since you don’t choose your dishes, they do need to kind of know what you like and what you can or cannot have.

Remy Brunch Menu 2024

As mentioned before, you don’t choose items from a menu. The menu is created for you, and they bring each one out by course. Their menu changes from time to time, but at the time of writing this post, the menu starts off with bread and some of the most delicious butters you will ever taste. With regular butter, red pepper butter and seaweed butter, you also get a small salt pot to season your bread to whatever your version of perfection is.

The meal then continues with Pea Soup with Prosciutto, Homard du Maine, Cannelloni, Toothfish, Poulet Rouge and Baba Vanille. We opted out of any seafood, so we got gnocchi and beet ravioli with short rib. Everything we had was delicious, and if it’s not, just let the server know and they will take care of you! The meal also includes an initial glass of champagne to start. They also have an extensive wine and champagne list for additional purchases as well.

Now this is the menu that we had, but it changes all the time, so it’s not by any means a comprehensive list. But hopefully it gives you a good idea at least of the food you can expect to get!

How to get a reservation for Remy Brunch on the Disney Dream

Guests can make reservations for Remy on the same day that their port excursions booking window opens. This will largely depend on what your Castaway Club status is, as that determines when your booking window opens. When you’re trying to get a highly coveted day or time, usually a sea day for example, you will want to be ready to book at midnight when the booking window opens. These reservations can sometimes go fast! Not usually as fast as Palo Brunch, but they can still go quite quickly. If you know you want the reservation, be sure to be on the website early, or let your know Disney Travel Planner know you’d like them to make the reservation for you.

Is Remy Brunch worth it on the Disney Dream?

As with all things, “worth it” depends on a lot! First of all, it’s important to know that it is pricey. And you don’t get to choose what they serve you. This can be both a good and bad thing. Since you’re likely to try things you might usually not, it’s a great opportunity to expand your food horizons. However, that also means you may not be thrilled with some of the selections they offer. That being said, if you truly don’t like something, you can always send it back and ask for something else.

Aside from the cost of Remy, it’s also a big time commitment. And if your cruise is a shorter one, it may not be worth the time investment alone. But of course, that’s entirely up to you!

One thing that’s very important to mention again, is that if you have an allergy, food sensitivity or something that you just don’t like, try to let them know ahead of time so they can prepare a menu specifically for you. You can do this by stopping by the restaurant. Or calling from your stateroom once onboard.

Have you dined at Remy on the Disney Dream? Did you think it was worth the cost?
