- 1 12 oz package of White Chocolate Chips or White Chocolate melts- melted
- Mini Marshmallows
- Sprinkles
- Food Coloring of choice

What Equipment Do You Need to Make Cake Pops?
Chances are you already have everything you need to make Cake Pops. A food Processor makes things easy, as you’ll need to crush all the Oreos, and mix them with the cream cheese. However, you can also easily crush the Oreos, by just putting them a baggy and smashing them. Other things you’ll need for these treats are sticks, wax paper, and if you’re making Minnie, a Bow mold.
- Food processor
- Wax Paper
- Cake Pop Sticks
- Minnie Bow mold (find one similar to what we used here)
Mickey Mouse Cake Pops Instructions
Okay, now that you know all the details of what you need to make cake pops, lets dive in.
1. Chop the Oreos
Add 1 package of Oreos to a Food Processor and “puree” or “chop”. You want a “dirt” consistency for your Oreos, so it’s okay if they’re really finely ground.
2. Add the Cream Cheese
It’s the cream cheese that really holds the whole cake pop together, so you’re going to want to make sure you have a good one. You can use either full or low fat, dairy or non dairy. We like to go with whatever we find at Aldi’s, but if you have a favorite cream cheese, use it! Add the Cream Cheese to the Food Processor and mix. This mixture should hold together, once everything is fully incorporated.
3. Roll in to Balls and Pop into the Freezer
Once the mixture is ready, you can use a tablespoon, to get the balls the same size. Simply, scoop out the cake pop mixture and form into a ball in your hands. Once formed, place a piece a wax paper on a cookie sheet. Then, set the cake pop balls on the wax paper so they don’t stick to anything and place them in the freezer, while you go onto the next step.
4. Melt the Chocolate
For this next step you can use dark or white chocolate, depending on how you’re making your Mickeys. For our springtime Minnie we used white chocolate but you can just as easily make these Mickeys by using brown chocolate and red melts for the shorts.
After melting the chocolate, get out your mini marshmallows and pull the cake pop balls from the freezer. Next you’ll want to dip the marshmallows, into the white chocolate and adhere two each to each ball, to make the Mickey ears.
5. Dip the Mickey Cake Pops
Once your marshmallows are attached to the cake pop ball, add the cake pop stick. Be sure that the melted chocolate is still melted, before dipping. It should be a very smooth, runny consistency. You can dip and/or spoon the white chocolate onto the cake pop to completely cover the Mickey head. Do this for each cake pop one at a time.
6. Add the sprinkles
Immediately after dipping the cake pop in the white chocolate dip it into the sprinkles. We used colored pastels for our springtime look. But, again, you can choose whichever sprinkles strikes your fancy, or party color scheme.
7. Add a Chocolate Minnie Bow
If you’re sweetening things up with Minnie Mouse, she’ll need a bow. Simply add some food coloring to your white chocolate melts, to get your desired bow color. We chose pink! Now, keep in mind that the bows will need to be completely solid before you remove them from the mold. So, pop them in the freezer, if you’re on a time crunch. Once you’re ready, you can adhere your bow to the cakepop with melted chocolate. And you’re done!

Where did you get your bow mold?

We actually got it from the Disney Parks and I’m not sure if it’s something that is still available there, but you can find a similar one on Amazon here https://amzn.to/393xPIL
