We asked our readers for their opinions on the most underrated restaurants at Walt Disney World, so here is our list of the top 5 underrated Disney World restaurants. 

Some restaurants at Disney World are just hidden gems. They may not be the most popular. But they’re also not the most expensive, or the most difficult to get a reservation for. So next time you’re trying to avoid the stress of getting a reservation to a very popular restaurant, consider one of these underrated restaurants instead!

Liberty Tree Tavern Restaurant at Magic Kingdom

Liberty Tree Tavern- Magic Kingdom

Liberty Tree Tavern is located in Magic Kingdom. This Family Style restaurant features a Thanksgiving type meal all year round. It may be a little heavy for hotter months, but when the weather cools down, this place really shines. Famous for their Ooey Gooey Toffee cake, which is a must have, and all you care to enjoy feast. Caribbean Beach Restaurant Sebastians Bistro

Sebastian’s Bistro – Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Sebastian’s Bistro is located at Caribbean Beach Resort. This restaurant serves island inspired cuisine family style. Since it’s not located inside of a Disney Park, you don’t need a ticket to dine here. And it’s just an easy ride on the Skyliner to get here. With family style Caribbean food, guests will also be thrilled with the prices here. Not only are the prices reasonable and family friendly, but the Coconut-Pineapple Bread Pudding is almost as good ‘Ohana Bread Pudding, without the high price tag. Sebastian’s Bistro full menu can be found here.

Skipper Canteen Restaurant Jungle Cruise

Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen – Magic Kingdom

Another Magic Kingdom Restaurant, Skipper Canteen is located in Adventureland. With “adventurous” cuisine and a Jungle Cruise theme with plenty of puns, this place is not for picky eaters but is a lot of fun. You can find dishes like lamb chops, sustainable fish, steak and chicken, all with bold and interesting flavors. Tusker House Restaurant Characters- Mickey

Tusker House – Animal Kingdom

Located in Animal Kingdom, Tusker House was the only character meal to make this list and for good reason. This restaurant is a buffet, which is usually not our preference, but it’s a pretty good and often overlooked. The food is unique and delicious. And the character interactions are always a lot of fun. You can meet Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Donald and Goofy all in their safari outfits while you dine. For Tusker House’s full menu, click here

Ale and Compass Breakfast

Ale and Compass – Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

Ale and Compass is located at Disney’s Yacht Club and is an easy walk from EPCOT. They have an amazing breakfast (we love the chocolate waffles) and great options for dinner as well. Prices are pretty reasonable and you don’t need a Park ticket to enjoy this one. Located in the Boardwalk area, Ale and Compass makes for a great choice if you’re looking for a low-key date night dinner or slow start to your morning at Disney. Plus, they have a To Go menu if you want to sit on the porch and soak up the morning.
