Sebastian’s Bistro Restaurant at Caribbean Beach Resort

Sebastian’s Bistro Restaurant at Caribbean Beach Resort

Since Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is one of our favorite places, complete with island vibes, trails to walk, beaches, access to the Disney Skyliner, and more, it’s no surprise that we would also find one of the BEST restaurants at this resort. Say hello to Sebastian’s Bistro.

Sebastian's Restaurnat in Walt Disney World

Sebastians Bistro at Caribbean Beach Resort Walt Disney World

Sebastian’s Bistro

Walt Disney World has been turning out very impressive new restaurants as of late. Topolino Terrace over at Disney’s Rivera Resort was a delight for Mickey’s a la Art Breakfast. And we are simply smitten with Toledo Restaurant over at Coronado Springs Resort Gran Destino Tower. But Sebastian’s Bistro, the Little Mermaid Restaurant at Walt Disney World, brings a whole new easy-breezy kind of dining experience to the table. Complete with family-style dining, a poolside bar outside, views of the lake, and a hint of Sebastian’s under-the-sea decor, this restaurant is an excellent way to spend an evening away from the crowds and crazy.

As part of the newly refurbished Disney Caribbean Beach Resort, Sebastian’s Bistro is just a small part of all that’s new. If you haven’t been to Caribbean Beach Resort lately, take the opportunity to add some exploring during your visit! With a beautifully re-done lobby, a re-imagined commissary experience at Centertown Market, new resort merchandise, and pathways that connect beaches to Disney’s Riviera Resort and the Disney Skyliner, this resort really is a one-stop-shop for the perfect Disney vacation.

Sebastian’s Bistro Atmosphere

Sebastian’s Bistro has the same vibe as the resort. Modern, simple, and beautiful. With a touch of the islands. Sebastian’s Bistro is a fairly small restaurant, but not cramped, and with high ceilings, definitely feels bigger than it actually is. We absolutely loved the décor and color scheme inside the restaurant. Sebastian’s Bistro at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is all about ease. Heading into this restaurant you’ll find booth options, tables, and seating for bigger families. With lots of white decor, the place feels airy and bright, even in the evenings.

Views of the lake, Disney’s Rivera Resort, and the Disney Skyliner line can all be seen from the windows. As a family-style restaurant, just like Ohana, the starters, main dishes, and desserts are all brought out to share as you move through each course. And the cast members at Sebastian’s Bistro are fantastic. They were happy to share details about the foods, their favorites, and even tips about the sauces that come with the starter course.

Where is Sebastian’s Bistro?

Once at Caribbean Beach, you can head towards Port Royale. If taking the bus to the resort, this is the main building and the main stop. It’s placed in the center of the resort for easy access. If taking the Disney Skyliner, then simply get off at the Caribbean Beach Resort station and cross the road to the resort pathway. In the distance, you’ll see on the other side of the water, the entire Port Royale complex, and can easily take the main bridge over to the restaurant.  Check out our Review of Disney Caribbean Beach Resort with a map if you need a visual. Complete with swing loungers and beautiful drapery, the open-air bar area already exudes a step above the old theming of Caribbean Beach. So if this was a resort you visited long ago, get ready to be impressed.

Sebastian’s Bistro Menu

The menu at Sebastian’s Bistro is filled with foods that any family would like. This Taste of the Caribbean Menu is the newly reimagined menu and there are shared starters, entrees, and desserts. Here is the lineup of what you can find at Sebastian’s Bistro.

Appetizers and Starters

We started out with the Caribbean Pull-apart rolls. These are Buttery House-baked Pull-apart Rolls with Guava Butter and Caramelized Onion Jam. They are absolutely delicious, and you’re welcome to have more than one tray if you need it. This is an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal after all. So if you see you’re running out of something you love along the way, just as for it, for a second helping. The sauces here are sweet and a great way to start the meal.

In addition to the rolls, a salad was served. And with bitter greens and a sweet dressing, this was a great combination of flavors. The Spiced Necklace Salad included Mixed Greens and Kale with Toasted Pumpkin Seeds, Grilled Pineapple, Orange, Spiced Candied Walnuts, and Radish with Key Lime Dressing.

Taste of the Caribbean Entrees

For the main course, you get flavors of the Caribbean in the form of regular or plant-based options. The regular selection of entrees included Oven-roasted Citrus Chicken, Slow-cooked Mojo Pork with Mango Sambal, and Grilled Flank Steak* with Mojito Relish. This is served with Cilantro Rice, and Beans, Vegetable Curry, and Grilled Broccolini. You can add an “enhancement” of fried coconut shrimp if you want it, but we felt this was plenty of food!

The chicken was perfectly cooked and pretty much fell off the bone. The pork and mango were a perfect pairing of sweet and salty flavors and the flank steak is some of the best we’ve had. The cilantro rice with kidney beans was so good we’ve already made the copycat recipe several times at home. And the vegetable curry was a nice addition to the rice to make the meal feel more cozy and filling.

Taste of the Caribbean Plant-Based Entrees

The plant-based selection of entrees was just as amazing and we highly recommend it, even if you’re not vegetarian or vegan, and just want to go meatless for a meal.

For the plant-based entree at Sebastian’s Bistro, you get an Impossible™ Kabob, Fried Jerk Tofu, and Impossible™ Sausage. This is served with Cilantro Rice and Red Beans, Vegetable Curry, and Grilled Broccolini. All of these were great. Flavorful and perfectly cooked, the “meats” were juicy and tender and were perfectly complemented by the sides and sauces.

Dessert at Sebastian’s Bistro

The dessert is comparable to the bread pudding at Ohana but different enough to hold its own with pineapple flavors instead of banana. This is a house-made Coconut-Pineapple Bread Pudding. Served with Caramel Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream, it is delicious, and not too sweet. The plant-based version of this bread is just as good, with a Plant-based Caramel Sauce and Vanilla Rice Milk Frozen Dessert

Sebastian’s Bistro Cost

Is Sebastian’s Bistro a Budget-Friendly Disney Restaurant? At under $30 per adult and under $20 per child we absolutely think this is one of the most budget-friendly restaurants at Walt Disney World. While you don’t get characters as part of the dining experience it’s a significant step-up from any quick-service restaurant. And on the lowest end of the table-service dining prices. As an all-you-care-to-enjoy dining experience, the value is significant.

Is Sebastian’s Bistro Good for Kids?

While Sebastian’s Bistro may not look “geared’ towards children, it’s definitely a wonderful experience for kids. The bread, salad, and entree choices are all very good and offer flavors kids enjoy. Many of the dishes are sweet and easy to eat. Make it extra special for kids by adding a fun non-alcoholic drink to their meal.

Sebastian’s Bistro Restaurant Review

Overall, we really enjoyed the entire experience of Sebastian’s Bistro at the Caribbean Beach Resort. From the setting to the food, we love the step-up in style, decor, and menu options. Definitely, on par with more expensive restaurants across Walt Disney World, we couldn’t get over the budget-friendly prices here. This restaurant is an excellent value for the money, especially if you’re traveling with family. If your Disney Vacation is packed to the nines, take a break and head to Caribbean Beach, for a stroll and dinner. And if you’re looking for more, check out the Pros and Cons of Staying at Disney Caribbean Beach Resort. We hope you love it as much as we do.
