When you’re traveling to Disneyland, and trying to figure out where to stay, there are a few things to consider: price and location. Since many hotels in the area offer similar amenities and room size, these two factors can play a big part in helping you choose a hotel in the Disneyland area. Tropicana Inn and Suites has been on the top of our list for a while because its location cannot be beat.
Tropicana Inn and Suites is situated right across the street from the Disneyland gates, making it no longer than a 5 minute walk. Aside from one or two other hotels in the area, it is one of the closest hotels near Disneyland. In terms of location, you really cant get much closer!
Tropicana Inn and Suites Rooms
Tropicana Inn and Suites is set up like a motel, with doors on the outside. Many of the hotels in the area are set up this way, so it’s pretty standard for the area. Tropicana Inn and Suites does offer family suites and some suites that even offer fully equipped kitchens.
The rooms are slightly themed, with palm trees painted on the walls. The rooms at Tropicana Inn and Suites are pretty standard in size when compared to other hotels that we have stayed at in the area. They’re clean and comfortable and pretty basic. But if you’re just looking for a place to be close to Disneyland, then this will fit the bill perfectly.
Tropicana Inn and Suites Atmosphere
You choose to stay here because of the location, not because of a fancy atmosphere. Tropicana Inn and Suites is very basic, and with rooms that face the Parking lot and pool, it can get pretty noisy at times. We didn’t ever feel like this was a bad area to be in, but it’s good to be aware that it can be a bit loud at night.
Since it is right across from the Parks, you can also sometimes see the fireworks from Disneyland too!
Amenities at Tropicana Inn and Suites
The amenities at Tropicana Inn and Suites are pretty standard for Anaheim. They have a pool, which we didn’t get to use because it was too cold when we stayed there in May. To see a full list of amenities, click here
You can park here, but it will cost you $15 per night. There is no free breakfast here, but you can grab coffee and grab and go items at The Cove on Harbor Market and Cafe. They have everything from snacks to sunscreen to souvenirs. This hotel is a good neighbor hotel, so you can also buy your Disneyland Park tickets here to save yourself some time when going to the Parks in the morning.
How to get a good deal at Tropicana Inn and Suites
We always love finding good deals on hotels.com and actually have written an entire post about that here. If you really want to stay here due to its location, be sure to book early. This hotel can get pretty expensive due to its location, so we recommend booking it early if possible.

Overall, Tropicana Inn and Suites is a great place to stay if your biggest concern is location. It is not the cheapest, the prettiest, the quietest or the fanciest hotel near Disneyland, but it will get you close to Disneyland and your feet will thank you for choosing it at the end of the night.
