Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, giving us the perfect reason to make as many treats as we can come up with. What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with waffles? We decided to create a Valentine’s Day Waffle board, which we love for breakfast, brunch or dinner! You guys loved our Fall Brunch Board so much, we figured why not make a board with a Valentine’s Day twist?
Valentine’s Day Waffle Board
A Valentine’s Day Waffle Board doesn’t have to be difficult and is a super easy easy way to add a bit of fun to a holiday some people just don’t love. Who says you need to be in a relationship to celebrate love?! We love waffles, and that’s good enough for us. We’re sharing how we created our Valentine’s Day inspired waffle board and we hope it gives you some inspiration too!
What do you need for a Valentine’s Day Waffle Board?
A Board, we love this large round one , Mickey shaped cheese board or even a simple cutting board can also be used!
A Waffle Maker, we decided to use the mini heart waffle maker as well as the Mickey waffle maker to add a bit of magic!
Waffle Mix. We like Kodiak Cakes for all of our waffles, but any waffle mix will do. Or if you prefer them from scratch, you can go that route too!
Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, bananas or any other fruit you like!
Whipped Cream
Strawberry Syrup
Chocolate Syrup
Anything else you’d like to add to your board!
The best part about your Valentine’s Day Waffle Board is that the sky is really the limit. Feel like making it more like a brunch board instead? Why not add bacon and sausage? Or maybe some grilled asparagus to add a bit of color to your board. Want a more savory board? Let go of the sweet stuff and add in avocado or maybe a nut butter to add to your waffles.
We also decided to add yummy iced coffees, complete with cute Valentine’s Day straws and donut hole kabobs as a fun side. Feel free to add whatever else you’d like to make this feel special.
Build your Valentine’s Day Waffle Board
We love to add color and texture to our boards whenever possible, so we decided to alternate fruits with waffles on our boards and add in a few variations of pink too. We chose to keep our syrup and whipped cream on the side, since we used a smaller board for this; but if your board is big enough, you can add those to the board and keep it all together! And if you want to add breakfast meats or other foods,
Feel free to add jams, peanut or nut butters, honey, chocolate syrup or even candies! Like I said, the sky is the limit and you can easily adjust this board to your family’s tastes.
Set Your Table for a Valentine’s Day Waffle Board
If you’re going to have a themed waffle board for Valentine’s Day, why not set up your table to match? We decided to use a table runner from Target and cute little Mickey and Minnie plates and napkins from Pottery Barn Kids. Add flowers, garlands, or whatever your heart desires to get you in a festive mood!
We hope this post has inspired you to create your very own Valentine’s day Waffle board, or a waffle board for any other occasion for that matter! Have fun with it and get creative:)
