Disney Halloween at the Grand Floridian

Halloween at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

New this Halloween at the Walt Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort you can find a Haunted Mansion sculpture made of chocolate, complete with an egg in honor of Constance. Check out all the details on this one! You can even find the details on the sign on the display, shown below.

Constance Hatchway, is a character from The Haunted Mansion attraction. She is the current incarnation of the bride character in the attic and in a retcon, one of the figures depicted in the Stretching Room’s portraits.

Constance appears twice on the ride. She is seen in the Stretching Room in the elevator as an elderly black widowed bride looking straight at the guests who step back when the late Paul Frees’ voice is heard as the Ghost Host. She sits on the tombstone that reads “Rest in Peace, Dear Beloved George” which is found in the cemetery.

She is seen in the Attic where the photo changes while guests see and listen to the silhouette of a pianist playing a ghostly version of the bridal march on the piano. Constance holds her ax in front of her heart while reciting her wedding vows in a menacing tone while staring at the guests. Portraits of her husband and mementos of their unions are littered throughout the room. As quests ride by, her husband’s heads disappear from the portraits, signifying their unfortunate fates.

Chocolate Sculptures at the Grand Floridian Resort

And over by the Garden View Tea Room, a sculpture of Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother at their castle surrounded by pumpkins. If you head down to the Gasparilla Island Grill you can see a Remy statue featuring favorite foodie elements from Ratatouille.

Disney Characters Dressed Up for Halloween

One of the best parts of Halloween at Walt Disney World is seeing all our favorite characters in their Halloween costumes! With Pooh and Friends in their best “spooky” costumes and even Jack Skellington gets some time in the parks! Be on the lookout for spooky Character Cavalcades and impromptu character appearances across the park. Otherwise, you can see all these costumed friends at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.

Do Disney Characters have Disney Halloween Costumes?

YES! You’ll get to see favorite characters strolling the streets, on the character cavalcade, and on the Main Street Trolley!

Disney Halloween Merchandise

So many Halloween things to buy! Another of our favorite reasons to visit Disney World in the Fall is the merchandise. We are chronic window shoppers and rarely buy these goodies because airlines have luggage weight limits. But that doesn’t stop us from staring and wishing and wondering how much shipping it directly home would be. Thankfully shopDisney has Disney Halloween Merchandise to hold us over!

Disney Halloween Popcorn Buckets

The Disney Fall Popcorn Buckets in the parks are available mid-September through October 31, and are available during open hours at ALL FOUR Parks! These are HOT items! So be sure to grab them when you see them. There’s a purchase limit per person, to deter resellers. Disney Halloween Decorations

So we’ve talked about the magic that can happen when it’s Autumn at Walt Disney World before. And this Mickey Pumpkin Wreath is the guy we look forward to seeing every fall. You can spot fall garlands, wreaths, decorations, and more all over the Disney Parks. We love to revel in the feelings of Fall even when it’s 90 in Florida. And if you’re looking for extra spooky, head to Haunted Mansion, where you will find extra cobwebs on everything and sometimes even more ghouls than usual!
