What’s New for Halloween at Disney?
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party has returned and is offered select party nights from August 11- November 1, 2023, at Magic Kingdom. Plus, starting mid-August the parks get decorated with Mickey pumpkins, bats, and all things spooky. This marks the beginning of the Fall and Halloween season, so while new Halloween treats and decorations may not be fully in the parks until early September, you can count on spooky vibes as early as August 11th this year.
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit Scavenger Hunt | EPCOT September 29-October 31, 2023

Huluween | Disney Springs Weekends in October
Honoring all things Halloween on Hulu, Disney Springs brings live entertainment via a moving Jack O’Lantern! Performances happen all weekend through the month of October in the Marketplace area. And if you’re visiting, you can also snap a photo in front of the new Goosebumps backdrop, honoring its release Oct. 13 on Disney+ and Hulu.
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party | August 11- November 1, 2023
In Magic Kingdom and running select nights from August 11- November 1, 2023, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party offers trick-or-treat, ride overlays, shows, a parade, and more! Guests to this party can expect to enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4 pm, for a 7 pm party start time. We think this is the only party ticket you need to buy all year- as this event is unparalleled where Disney entertainment is concerned. Be sure to read all about Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party for all the details.
The Cadaver Dans on Main Street U.S.A | Magic Kingdom
The Cadaver Dans ( aka The Dapper Dans in Halloween gear) arrive in Magic Kingdom later in September and bring extra spooky sounds to Main Street USA. They arrive via the Main Street Trolley, so keep an eye out for them and stop for a listen.
Minnie’s Halloween Dine at Hollywood and Vine | Hollywood Studios
In Hollywood Studios, Minnie’s Halloween Dine arrives at Hollywood & Vine, in early August. With a buffet-style meal and Disney characters, you’ll get photos and interactions with Minnie herself! Dressed in her Halloween best as a happy witch. Mickey Mouse arrives as a vampire, Goofy as a cowboy and Pluto even gets a Halloween Collar. This special meal is the perfect way to kick off the spooky season safely.
Disney Characters Dressed Up for Halloween
One of the best parts of Halloween at Walt Disney World is seeing all our favorite characters in their Halloween costumes! Unfortunately, many of them can only be seen at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! With Pooh and Friends in their best “spooky” costumes and even Jack Skellington gets some time in the parks! If you’re not attending the Halloween party be on the lookout for spooky Character Cavalcades and impromptu character appearances across the park.
Do Disney Characters have Disney Halloween Costumes?
YES! You’ll get to see favorite characters strolling the streets, on the character cavalcade, and on the Main Street Trolley!
Disney Halloween Snacks | Everywhere
Ok, guys. You knew this one would be at the top of our list because we go crazy for seasonal snacks. Plan to see Pumpkin Spice cupcakes, new spooky cake pops, and candy corn dole whip. You can find Disney Fall Snacks in every park, resort, and Disney Springs. Check out all the new Disney Halloween Snacks.
Disney Halloween Merchandise
So many Halloween things to buy! Another of our favorite reasons to visit Disney World in the Fall is the merchandise. We are chronic window shoppers and rarely buy these goodies because airlines have luggage weight limits. But that doesn’t stop us from staring and wishing and wondering how much shipping it directly home would be. Thankfully shopDisney has Disney Halloween Merchandise to hold us over! Check out our roundup of all the Disney Halloween Merchandise for 2023.
Disney Halloween Popcorn Buckets
The Disney Fall Popcorn Buckets in the parks are available mid-September through October 31, and are available during open hours at ALL FOUR Parks! These are HOT items! So be sure to grab them when you see them. There’s a purchase limit per person, to deter resellers. Check out our New Halloween Snacks at Walt Disney World post for all the buckets and specialty drink items released.
Available for a limited time and in limited quantities, these Disney Parks Halloween Novelties are available at select locations throughout the park. While supplies last. For Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Mayor’s Car Bucket, there’s a limit of two per guest!
- Mayor’s Car Popcorn Bucket: Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Mayor’s Car Bucket (Available only at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party)
-
Donald Duck Candy Corn Sipper: Glow in the Dark Donald Candy Corn Sipper (Available at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party but will materialize in other Disney parks during the Halloween season)
Disney Halloween Decorations
So we’ve talked about the magic that can happen when it’s Autumn at Walt Disney World before. And this Mickey Pumpkin Wreath is the guy we look forward to seeing every fall. You can spot fall garlands, wreaths, decorations, and more all over the Disney Parks. We love to revel in the feelings of Fall even when it’s 90 in Florida. And if you’re looking for extra spooky, head to Haunted Mansion, where you will find extra cobwebs on everything and sometimes even more ghouls than usual!
