Wondering what’s the best place to eat at Animal Kingdom Park? Look no further than Satuli Canteen in Pandora, World of Avatar. Located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom this Disney Quick Service Restaurant offers a variety of the healthiest, tastiest, build-your-own bowls. Packed with flavor options, we think Satu’li Canteen is hands down the best restaurant for an action-filled day at Animal Kingdom. Even if you’re with picky eaters! Here’s what you can order, what we love about it most, and why you should give it a try.
We’ll admit that Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom Quick Service options are sometimes wanting. In Animal Kingdom, those options are sometimes whittled down even further to something that may just be too heavy for hot days in Florida. As just all-around health-conscious ladies, we tend to identify lovely meals ahead of time. Mainly so we don’t venture too far down the quick service restaurant rabbit hole for fear of discovering less-than-desirable greasy theme park food. And since there really isn’t any reason to eat poorly at Disney, why bother?
Satuli Canteen, however, is a cut above the rest when it comes to quality, taste, and options. What we like best about this restaurant, apart from the amazing cafeteria space, is the ability to build your own bowls. While other quick service restaurants at Animal Kingdom include the standard BBQ, Pizza, and lots of fried things, we’ve found just a few that are worth our Disney dollar and won’t have us regretting our choices later.

Truthfully, after finding your perfect combination it will be hard to want to order anything else here. There are other foods, however. Now, all the bowls come with boba balls. These are interesting little tapioca balls that you may or may not love… but don’t worry, if you’re not a fan you can just ask for your dish without the boba, or carefully remove them from your bowl ( be sure they don’t pop).
Bao Buns
If you’re not much of a bowl food person, you can also go the classic route, with a Na’vi Inspired Cheeseburger. The Bao Buns ( Cheeseburger Steamed Pods) were an exciting novelty for a minute because who doesn’t love a cute cheeseburger in a pod? The pods, however, were a little dense and not necessarily equivalent to the classic American burger we know and love. The sweet potato chips, however, we absolutely loved.

Satu’li Canteen Kid’s Menu
You can also count on a Kids menu that includes cheese quesadillas and hot dogs if the kiddies don’t get excited about food from another planet 4.4 light-years away. The kid’s menu also has the cheeseburger pods which may be a fun new treat to introduce them to! Kid’s Food at Satuli Canteen costs between $7-$9 a dish.
Satu’li Canteen Desserts
For desserts at Satuli Canteen, there are two options. You can choose a Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse or Chocolate Cake. Okay, we’ll be honest here. Some people love the mousse. It has a passion fruit curd and a glace of sorts. Very very pretty, but the texture wasn’t a favorite. If you love love love cheesecake mousse you may feel differently. The chocolate cake however was absolutely amazing. It has a cookie layer and ganache-like texture. It does have a banana cream topping which we coulda did without, but all in all, was a great lighter chocolate treat at lunchtime. Desserts cost between $5-$7 each.

We’d also recommend just skipping dessert here and popping over to Pongu Pongu instead for a portable snack; Pongu Lumpia. As one of the best snacks in Animal Kingdom, if you’re in Pandora, be sure to grab it.
Satu’li Canteen Drinks
In addition to the basis, like fountain drinks, water, coffee and tea, you can also grab the specialty drink on the menu; the Pandoran Sunrise. Kinda fruity, kinda light, and can also come in a fancy flute cup if you need the extra souvenir. Drinks range between $3- $6 each. We also like the Night Blossom drink over at Pongu Pongu, if you’re looking for another option.

And they do have alcoholic beverages here, but you could also just venture outside to Pongu Pongu to try a bioluminescent frozen cocktail. Alcoholic drinks are priced between $11- $14 each.
