As Disney adults, we love a good lounge and cafe, and the Barcelona Lounge at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is both. Serving up coffee, and to go options during the day and drinks at the bar in the evenings, this is a Disney Lounge to visit. Situated on the lower level of the Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs, this space is filled with bright colors, fun Spanish music playing and an absolutely gorgeous seating. Quickly becoming one of our favorite spots at Disney’s Coronado Springs, here are all the details of what you can find at Barcelona Lounge and why we think it’s absolutely worth the visit.
When you first walk into the Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort you are greeted by an ornate, beautiful gold and white ceiling, a gorgeous two story lobby, that drops to the ground level below, and large windows overlooking the water, and outdoor spaces beyond. Frankly, its easy to see why this would be anyone’s favorite resort. Featuring Spanish architecture with a modern twist, everything from the ribbon pattern that crawls the tower outside to the replicated woven columns inside, just screams elegance here. And it’s Coronado Springs is even prettier at Christmastime. Whether you’re coming to stay, or just coming for a visit be sure to descend the stair case into the Barcelona Lounge below, which offers beautiful views and places to lounge.

Barcelona Lounge Details
Okay, let’s dive into everything that the Barcelona Lounge has to offer and why we think you should visit, even if it means getting on a Disney Bus to do so. Of course, the fact that the rest of the resort is simply gorgeous and some of the best restaurants on Disney property also helps. If you’re never been, be sure to check out our Disney Coronado Springs Resort Tour video for a look around the resort and everything to do there during your visit.
Barcelona Lounge Location
Located at Disney’s Coronado Resort at Walt Disney World, the Barcelona Lounge can be found on the ground floor of the Gran Destino Tower.
How do you get to Barcelona Lounge?
If you’re don’t have a car at Disney, then you can grab the Disney Coronado Springs Resort Bus from Disney Springs or any Disney Park to get to the resort. Just a reminder here that since resort to resort bussing isn’t an option at Disney World yet, if you’re visiting late, just be sure to get back to a park or Disney Springs before the buses stop running ( typically an hour after park close).
Barcelona Lounge Hours
As we said, you can come here for both coffees and drinks, but you can’t get everything all day, so the hours are separated into morning and evening hours.
- Cafe Hours: 6:30 AM -12:00 PM
- Bar and Lounge 3:00 PM -12:00 AM
Note that you can get small plates and appetizers here for both breakfast and as a snack with your drinks later.
Are Kids allowed at Barcelona Lounge?
Absolutely! Since Barcelona Lounge is located in a common space, kids are welcome. The menu here includes breakfast foods, snacks and even non-alcoholic drinks. So kids can feel grown up and included too. My daughter got excellent treatment from our server, who recommended a fun lemonade for her to try and she loved it.
Do you need reservations for Barcelona Lounge?
No, no reservations are needed for Barcelona Lounge, or Dahlia Lounge ( on the top floor of the resort.) If you’re dining at the resort’s signature restaurant, Toledo-Tapas, Steak and Seafood, however, you will need a reservation for that.
Barcelona Lounge Atmosphere
Barcelona Lounge is a bright, colorful space and it has an atmosphere to match. In the mornings, the atmosphere is a bit more rushed, as one would expect. You can expect your coffee in to go cups and service to be quick. You’ll see many families on their way to the Parks. Don’t be surprised to see kids passing through. And you can sit at the sofas, or at the bar, depending on your preference.
In the afternoon, however, the service slows down and becomes a bit more personalized. While you can directly walk up to the bar and order, you also have the option of sitting at a table and allowing someone to serve you. We did this just for the experience. I’m big on chatting with Cast Members to get their recommendations and insight on menus; for me that is better done with one on one service rather than at the bar.
You’ll also see more groups of people getting together for a drink and less children in the afternoon and evening as more people tend to treat this more like a lounge later in the day and less like a pass through. Most families are at the Parks during the day as well, which likely contributes to the more “grown up” atmosphere.
The lounge does share its second story with the main lobby; so at times it can become quite loud despite its efforts to maintain a really lovely, relaxing atmosphere during the day. At the same time, a lot of people will come down to the lounge, just to well, lounge, so even if you don’t want to order anything, the space is open to everyone. It’s also a great space to get some work done if needed!
Barcelona Lounge Menu – Breakfast
You can grab quite a few options on the Barcelona Lounge Menu, but we’ll share the basics here and what we had as well. In the morning, they offer specialty Spanish coffees, as well as traditional coffee and grab and go breakfast items such as muffins, scones and cheese and fruit plates, perfect for those who are in the morning rush to get to the Parks; or in the case of many Coronado Springs guests, a meeting at the convention center.
Plus you can also grab breakfast sandwiches here too. An Egg and cheese croissant, or Ham, egg and cheese croissant and a Breakfast wrap are all on the breakfast menu at Barcelona Cafe.
Serving traditional Spanish coffees here, we highly recommend the Café Bombon, which is just a shot of espresso with sweetened condensed milk and if you’re familiar with Cortado, they serve that as well in two sizes. But you can also get several other amazing coffees here too, with and without alcohol. And of course, you can get regular lattes, cold brew, cappuccinos, black coffees and more. They also offer alternative milks if you’re dairy-free, so there are lots of options. Prices here range between $3-$8, and up to $12 if you add alcohol.
- Cortado: Espresso and Dash of Steamed Milk
- Café Bombon: Espresso and Sweetened Condensed Milk
- Gibraltar: A Grande Cortado
- Café Carajillo (with Alcohol): Agustín Blázquez Felipe II Solera Reserva Brandy and Espresso
- Café Con Leche: Espresso and Warm Milk
- Barraquito (with Alcohol): Licor 43, Espresso, Sweetened Condensed Milk, Foamed Milk, and Lemon Zest
Barcelona Lounge Menu – Bar and Lounge
In the afternoon, the lounge sort of transforms into a more laid back lounge, with full bar service. Still offering those delicious Spanish style coffees, a cocktail, wine and beer menu are also added. A few small bites are also offered during the day. Hummus and cheese boards are the main offerings for the afternoon, so don’t expect to find your typical bar food here. They do offer non-alcoholic beverages and coffees in the evening as well if you’re traveling with littles, or if you’re not much of a drinker but still want to enjoy what they have to offer.
Appetizers
Served for the evening hours, you can grab a variety of small plates to have with your drinks here. The small plates here range between $8- $16 depending on what you get, and they’re all absolutely delicious. We love that it’s a departure from your basic bar food, and the mindfulness that went into creating an authentic menu.
- A Taste of Barcelona: Marinated Manchego, Aceitunas, and Marcona Almonds
- Spanish Artisanal Cheeses: Marcona Almonds and Membrillo Paste
- ‘Aceitunas’ Marinated Olives: Citrus, Garlic, and Crushed Red Pepper (Plant-based)
- Hummus and Vegetables: Toybox Tomatoes, Baby Carrots, Cucumber, Shishito Peppers, Za’atar Spice
- Spanish Charcutería: Olives and Fig Jam
Mocktails and Non Alcoholic Drinks
We’re big into finding mocktails at Disney World, since we’re not always in the mood to drink, and traveling with a teen. That said, we were happy to see things offered here that were special, as well as still be able to get the basics like non alcoholic mai tais, shirley temples and no-jitos here too.
- Ponche de Frutas: Sweet-and-Sour, Pineapple, Blackberry, Lime, and Soda Water
- Hibiscus Mint Limonada: Minute Maid® Premium Lemonade, Hibiscus-Grenadine, Mint, and Soda Water
Signature Drinks
In addition to the coffees, mocktails and food you can also grab all your basic bar drinks, as this is a full bar and you can simply order what you like. However, there are several signature drinks on the menu that are well worth trying. Grab the Barcelona Lounge Menu here for the full list of drinks.
- Cafesito Delicioso: Kamora Coffee Liqueur, Licor 43, Espresso, and Heavy Cream
- Sangría-Tini: Stolichnaya Vodka, Garnacha Old Vines, Combier Crème de Peche De Vigne and Lime
- Cafesito Conquistador: Bacardí Reserva Ocho Rum, Emilio Lustau Oloroso Don Nuño Sherry, Joffrey’s Coffee™ Cold Brew, Lime, Cinnamon, and Pimento Bitters
- The Armada: Russell’s Reserve 10 yr 90 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon, Harveys Bristol Cream Sherry, Banana Liqueur, Lemon, and Cinnamon
- Santa Maria Collins: Beefeater London Pink Gin, Lime, Strawberry, and Soda Water
- Spanish Margarita: Patrón Silver Tequila, Cardenal Mendoza Angêlus Original Recipe, Lime, and Agave
Barcelona Lounge Cost
Barcelona Lounge is pretty on par with pricing for similar places at Walt Disney World. Expect to pay $10-$18 for most cocktails and between $8- $16 for small plates. If you’ve been to Baseline Tap House over in Hollywood Studios, or other bars on Disney property, the prices are pretty similar. And as with any Disney World Lounge you’re really here more for the atmosphere and lounging anyway, right?
Coronado Springs Barcelona Lounge Review
