Our Favorite Disney Christmas Movies
While there are so many amazing Disney Christmas Movies on Disney Plus to choose from, we definitely have a few favorites that we keep watching over and over again every year. In fact on this blog you can also find all of our favorite Very Merry Disney Christmas Movies for the family and Disney Channel Christmas Episode List too. There are simply too many to choose them all in just one Christmas movie night, so we’ll break this down to a few favorites you can watch for an easy night at home.
Mickey’s Christmas Carol
Mickey’s Christmas Carol will always have a special place in our hearts. It’s a throwback to our childhood and it makes our must watch list every year.
Mickey’s Merry and Scary Collection
We are also big fans of the new Mickey shorts and find Duck the Halls from the Mickey Mouse- Merry & Scary DVD to be just the dose of Disney comedy that we need during the holidays when things start to get a bit crazy and hectic. It’s short, funny and its touch of madness makes us feel like we’re actually not doing too bad during the holiday season.
The Santa Clause Collection
The Santa Clause series, all 3 of them, is actually one we keep in our Amazon Prime library and love that the trilogy is perfect for binge watching should you find yourself stuck inside for an entire day. If you don’t yet Amazon Prime, use this holiday season as an excuse to grab the 30 day Free Trial of Amazon Prime. It is absolutely worth it for the holiday films suddenly available for free in Prime Video.
The Muppet Christmas Carol
Another beloved version of the Christmas Carol, we are huge fans of The Muppet Christmas Carol. We love any excuse to incorporate the Muppets into our day and what better way than to mix in the beauty and lesson of the Christmas Carol? There are so many more Disney movies to add to your holiday movie list, but these are just a few we love for a Disney Christmas movie night! Check out our whole list of favorite Disney Christmas Movies!
Disney Christmas Movie Night Treats
You can never go wrong with popcorn when it comes to movie night, so we love reusing our Popcorn Buckets from the Parks to add a bit of magic to popcorn at home! We’ve been lucky enough to get a few over the years so we always try to use them at home too. Don’t have a Parks popcorn bucket? No worries, we made a super simple one for Mickey’s 90th birthday party using just a mickey hole punch and glitter cardstock.
Disney Movie Night Cookies
Since it is in fact the holiday season, we can’t pass us the opportunity to add in some holiday cookies. We love baking and these Mickey gingerbread cookies are the perfect little Disney touch to add to movie night. Just grab your favorite gingerbread or sugar cookie recipe and a Mickey cookie cutter and voila! Instant Christmas cookie magic. We also love the simplicity of these Mickey Oreo treats and you can make them as easy or as elaborate as you choose!
Cozy Holiday Drinks for a Disney Christmas Movie Night
No movie night would be complete without a fun, cozy drink to sip in while taking in the magic of the holiday. Grab a cute mug and have a cup of cheer! What is more cozy than hot cocoa on a cold night?! We love this recipe straight from Disney Family and recently made our own version. Not only was it completely adorable, but it was so delicious, we can’t wait to make it again!
For more hot cocoa ideas, be sure to check out our hot cocoa bar post for fun ways to make your cocoa a little more magical. Not much of a cocoa fan? We’ve also shared a recipe for our Cinderella inspired Pumpkin Chai that we believe is pure magic! One of our go to’s for fall and all winter long, this chai is sure to warm you up and smells just like the holidays.
And finally, if you need a bit of a caffeine boost to help you through this season, we also love the cinnamon latte inspired by Tiana’s Place onboard the Disney Wonder. Complete with a little cinnamon Mickey, this latte is sure to boost your holiday spirits and your energy levels.
