Setting sail on the spookiest cruise around? If you’re embarking on a Halloween on the High Seas Cruise with Disney Cruise Line, you’ll want to make sure you’re ready for all the Halloween fun. Here’s a few of our must-do’s for a Halloween on the High Seas Cruise!
Contents
Watch the Pumpkin Tree Lighting
The Pumpkin Tree lighting takes place on the first night of your Halloween on the High Seas Cruise. And we personally think this is a must-do if you’re into spooky stories. It’s pretty short, but it takes place in the atrium near the Pumpkin tree and if you miss it, you won’t have the chance to watch it again.
The caretaker comes down to tell a few spooky stories and lights the pumpkin tree for the remainder of the cruise! We think it’s the perfect way to get into the spooky mood as your Disney Cruise sets sail.
Meet Your Favorite Characters during Halloween on the High Seas
One of our favorite things about Disney Cruises is how easy it is to meet characters! The lines are usually short, they are offered multiple times throughout the day and they’re mostly inside! And, you can usually meet them in costumes that you won’t find elsewhere. During a Halloween on the High Seas cruise, you can meet Witch Minnie, Super Hero Donald, Mummy Goofy, and many more. The character’s costumes/outfits change regularly, so be sure to grab a photo with them when you see them dressed up!
Attend Mickey’s Mouse-querade Halloween on the High Seas
Mickey’s Mouse-querade is the main event on the Halloween on the High Seas cruise and if you only do one thing on your spooky cruise, this is it! Join all of your favorite Disney Characters in their Halloween best for a fun dance party, trick or treating, and photo ops in the atrium.
Be sure to dress up yourself and have fun with it! We saw so many fun costumes during this party, but even just a festive t-shirt will do! Disney Cruise Line does sell a few costumes onboard if you forget to pack a costume and decide you want to dress up.
Try the Spooky Treats on Halloween on the High Seas
Throughout the cruise, be sure to check out all the fun Halloween-themed treats. Whether you grab something with your morning coffee from Cove Café or Vista Café, grab dessert at lunch from Cabanas, get a fun Halloween-themed popcorn bucket from Preludes, or order a spooky dessert with your dinner, we loved searching the ship for all the wicked good treats.
Check out the Halloween themed activities
We aren’t going to lie. We wish there were actually more Halloween-themed activities during the Halloween on the High Seas cruise, but hey we will take whatever we can get! Check your daily navigator or Disney Cruise line app for activities throughout the ship to see what’s being offered! One of our favorites was learning how to make this Spider Cake at the Anyone Can Cook demo. There are also crafts, dance parties and movies all to get you into a spooky mood.
Halloween on the High Seas is a fun way to kick off the Halloween season! Whether you do all the things or just enjoy the spooky music onboard, you’re sure to have a blast!
