Why Spring Break at Disney Fort Wilderness is Perfect for Families

Planning a spring break trip to Walt Disney World this year and not sure where to stay? That’s OK, we’ve got you covered. You can tackle Spring Break at the Disney Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds. With spring break being one of the more crowded and expensive times of year to visit Walt Disney World, it can be difficult to decide where to stay and what to do. With family-friendly activities, a great location, and more bang for your buck, here are all the reasons we think Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is the perfect place for families this spring.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is Family and Pet Friendly

Looking for a resort where your kids can run around and let out some of that energy? Fort Wilderness is the perfect place for that. There are families everywhere, playgrounds to be found, activities to be had and just room to play. And we love that!

Fort Wilderness Resort is hands down one of the best properties for families, because not only can you bring your whole family, you can even bring your fur babies. Fort Wilderness is pet friendly, and even if you choose to stay in a Fort Wilderness Resort Cabin, those are pet friendly too.

A Variety of Accommodations

Whether you’re a camper or a glamper, Fort Wilderness Resort has a variety of accommodations available. Love roughing it? They’ve got campsites, so bring your tent, set it up and get ready for a wilderness vacation.

Not a fan of sleeping on the ground? That’s OK too! Bring your own or rent an RV on a premium site, with everything you need to enjoy an elevated camping experience. Or if you prefer more of a resort experience, rent your very own cabin, with all the comforts at home and a dash of nature.

It’s Affordable!

Depending on what type of accommodations you choose, Fort Wilderness is perfect for those on a budget. With the most budget-friendly option being a campsite and the most expensive being a Fort Wilderness Cabin, we love that there are a variety of price points available for families, perfect for spring break.

All the Activities at Fort Wilderness for Families

Fort Wilderness is the perfect destination for families this spring break because there is just so much to do. And if you’re bringing your family for spring break, those Walt Disney World park tickets can get pricey! So why not split some time between the Parks and your resort? Fort Wilderness has horseback riding, archery, a campfire sing-a-long and so much more. Don’t want to fight the crowds to watch the fireworks? Head to the beach at Fort Wilderness and watch them from there! Complete with the music you’d hear at Magic Kingdom, this is a unique way to experience them without the crowds!

Watch a movie under the stars at their outdoor theater, rent a canoe and head to the water, or just hop in a golf cart and drive around! You could spend a whole week at Fort Wilderness and not run out of things to do, and we love that for families! Check out the Fort Wilderness List of Activities to try!

Visiting Walt Disney World for Spring Break

Spring Break at Walt Disney World is the best time to enjoy all things outdoors because the weather is starting to warm up but hasn’t gotten to those blistering Florida temps yet. It’s the perfect weather for hopping in the pool during the day and enjoying some hiking later at night. We love waking up to the peacefulness of Fort Wilderness Resort in the mornings and think it’s the perfect Spring Break reset we all need.

Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground just might be the perfect spring destination for your family this year! A little bit of Wilderness and a whole lot of Disney magic, all while being affordable makes this one of our top spots for families during Spring Break!
