How to Book Character Dining at Walt Disney World

Booking Disney Character Dining at Walt Disney World is just as easy as any other dining reservation. Keep in mind, however, that many of the Best Disney character dining restaurants book up fast! As such you’ll want to follow the Disney Planning Timeline, and plan to make your Disney Dining Reservations 60 days before your vacation, which is the earliest you can book dining at Disney. And with character meals at Disney world you’ll want to make sure your on the My Disney Experience App or the Disney website to book as soon as the new reservations open, at 6 a.m. EST.

While some Walt Disney World character meals are hard to get Disney dining reservations, booking the breakfast option for character meals is sometimes easier and cheaper than other meals available at the Restaurants with Characters at Disney World.

How Much Does it Cost to Have Breakfast with the Disney Characters?

Disney World character meals for breakfast cost between $35 a plate to over $70 a plate, depending on which restaurant you choose.  While some breakfasts include all you care to enjoy options, others feature a buffet, and still others offer made to order multi-course meals. However, you can be sure that drinks like water, juice and coffee are included in the price. Additionally, the character visit, autograph and photo with the characters are also all included. 

How Does Disney Character Breakfast at Disney World Work?

If you’re heading to a restaurant to have breakfast with the Disney Characters, there are a few things to know about how the process works. When you check in to your breakfast with characters at Disney, you and your family will be able to settle in, meet your waiter and relax. If you’re visiting a buffet restaurant at Disney, you’ll be guided to the buffet to choose your favorite foods, and can get as many things as you’d like throughout your meal.

What do you need to bring for a Disney Character Breakfast?

Do you Need a Park Ticket for Disney Character Breakfast?

If you book a Disney Character Breakfast inside the Disney Parks, then YES, you will need a valid Park Ticket for every member of your party. If you book a breakfast outside of the parks, such as at the Disney Resorts, or on the Disney BoardWalk, then you do not need a park ticket.

When Planning your Disney Day Itinerary, you’ll want to consider which park you’ll be in on which days. Because, when you book your Character Breakfasts at Disney World you’ll want to have those dates on hand. You’ll also want to consider timing and location. For instance, if you’re booking Akershus in EPCOT, you’ll not only need a Park ticket, but may want to plan an early breakfast so that you’re close to the Frozen Ever After entrance  when it opens. So you can time things accordingly.

As you’re shown into the restaurant you get the opportunity to pose against a background with a princesses. And then the rest will make their way around your table throughout your meal. Offering up the chance to have a chat, get an autograph and a photo, this is a unique Disney Restaurant that offers Disney Princesses all in one place. The thing that makes this a great place for families is that it allows you to get into EPCOT ahead of the crowds! As a result if you’re looking to ride Frozen Ever After, without waiting in line, booking an early breakfast at Akershus gets you close to the ride so you can jump in line as soon as it opens! We love this ride strategy for one of the Best Rides in EPCOT.

Breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table is one of the most expensive character meals at Disney World, but is still cheaper than the dinner option at this restaurant. Featuring menu items like avocado toast, caramel french toast, and beef tenderloin, remember that your price for breakfast is the same, no matter what you order. 

Families attending breakfast at Cinderella’s Castle gets the chance to meet the princesses, get autographs and photos, and be part of the Wishing Star Ceremony! As one of our favorite Free Disney Souvenirs, this little plastic wishing star wand is a wonderful memento of the experience and can make the morning feel extra special. Cinderella’s Royal Table Breakfast is not a buffet. As a result guests will order individual items from the menu, accompanied by pastries, coffee, tea, juice and water. By far one of the best Disney character breakfasts with a buffet, Crystal Palace offers a wonderful array of foods for breakfast, in a beautiful atmosphere. The breakfast buffet includes eggs, sausage, biscuits, cereals, fruit and more. Everything you’d expect to find at a breakfast buffet. 

Featuring Winnie the Pooh and Friends, you won’t find a breakfast with characters that is more fun! In addition to visits from Pooh bear, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore, you can get autographs, takes photos and even take part in the Friendship Parade. Kid’s can join the characters in a mini parade around the restaurant and can be part of the magic for the morning.

Sometimes known as the Chip and Dale Restaurant, this Breakfast with Chip and Dale features a wonderful array of comforting and fresh breakfast foods. Serving Mickey shaped waffles, backyard grilled steak, and breakfast pastries, you can also grab allergy friendly foods, and plant based items here. Plus, many of the vegetables come from the Living with the Land greenhouse.

And having breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at Ohana, is a Disney character breakfast you can’t get anywhere else. Especially, since we hardly ever see these characters in the parks, and they don’t typically do regular character visits with any kind of interaction. Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo & Stitch

With a family style breakfast, families get a selection of eggs, meats, waffles, fruits, and pastries. Since family style meals offer an all you care to enjoy experience, you can simply ask for more of whatever dishes you most love. This breakfast also features Stitch and Mickey waffles, ham with pineapple, a variety of fresh fruits and assorted breads. A truly unique experience in that if you get a window seat in the restaurant, you can get views of Cinderella’s Castle!
