Disney Valentine’s Day Party Treats

We’ve done a few charcuterie boards on Instagram before and they’re always a hit; because let’s face it, it doesn’t get much better than a beautiful charcuterie board. Who doesn’t love a variety of delicious snacks, all themed in a gorgeous display? Well, we know we do.

So when we decided to create one for our Valentine’s Day spread, we knew we wanted it to be pretty, pink, and just downright cute. Creating a themed charcuterie board of any kind isn’t challenging, but since we always get questions, we thought we’d lend a few tips.

First of all, decide what kind of food you want to have! We decided to recreate a few easy Disney Valentine’s Day Treats for our charcuterie board and added a few other simple things like chocolate-covered pretzel wands and white chocolate-dipped Oreos. We also made the truffle version of our Minnie Mouse cake pops and decorated them to match the theme.

Really the possibilities are endless when it comes to choosing your treats and you can do something as easy as grabbing some Little Debbie heart-shaped cakes from the Valentine’s Day section at Target, or going all out and creating your own masterpieces to display. There’s no right or wrong here and just remember to have fun with it!

Arranging a Charcuterie Board

Or tray. Or cake stand. Or whatever you want to display your treats on. We’ve used a variety of things, but we love a good wood tray for starters. They’re versatile, not too expensive and can be used as your actual board or something that your board sits on. We also love using a plain old cutting board. These days, cutting boards come in all shapes, sizes, ,materials and textures and can be used for so much more than just cutting your veggies.

Add some color to your Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Board

When you’re planning on what to put on your board, add some color! Pops of color keep it interesting and fun. For this board, since it’s Valentine’s Day themed, we knew we wanted pops of pinks and reds to brighten it. So we added Valentine’s themed candies. But if you’re working with more savory ingredients, colorful veggies, a variety of cheeses or meats, herbs or even edible flowers can get the job done just as well.

Add some texture to your Charcuterie Board

Texture will pretty much always be your best friend when you’re trying to create, well anything aesthetically pleasing. We love using a variety of textures for everything and our charcuterie board is no different. Texture will keep it interesting and also challenge you to create a variety of goodies for your tray, and really variety is what makes a charcuterie board so fun! Whether you add texture with the foods you make, like rice crispy treats, or the boards you use, texture will always add more interest.

It’s all about perspective and in the grand scheme of things, it’s really just a Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Board! It doesn’t have to be perfect, so don’t stress and overthink it. As Italians, we believe that food is a sign of love and that’s really what it’s all about anyway!

So there you go, a few tips to help you create a fun and sweet Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Board. We hope this has been helpful to you! Happy Valentine’s Day! XOXO
