This Toy Story Restaurant in Hollywood Studios Park is easy to find just inside the Toy Story Land section of the park. The Roundup Rodeo BBQ Location marks the start of Toy Story Land, and can be found just behind the Woody statue to the right. The restaurant is right behind the statue to the right. Once here you’ll see all the pieces and parts of  the playset, as well as Andy’s own sign for the restaurant.  As the Andy Toy Story lore goes, Andy taped carboard pieces together to create the restaurant and rodeo. Then filled it with all of his favorite toys!

Woody’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ Atmosphere

What is most exciting about this new space, is the medley of characters all joining in on the Western fun. Even Rex gets a part of the action. As part of the immersive experience of this restaurant, guests will be surrounded by “Rodeo Festivities in Action.” Sounds a little scary, right? We figure that both Woody and Jessie will be close by to tackle, or lasso, things if they get out of hand. In truth, this restaruant is simply filled with elaborate decor modeled after “Andy’s Toys,” and separated into two dining room areas.

A Toy Story BBQ Restaurant

Looking for Disney Easter Eggs? Another fun element of this new Toy Story restaurant at Disney is that you’ll be able to spot your favorite Disney Pixar characters in the form of toys and game pieces throughout the restaurant. And keep an eye out for Pixar toys you haven’t seen before. Because Disney has promised some new additions to Andy’s toy collection in this restaurant. Scavenger hunt anyone? You can bet we’ll be making one! Disney has shared that there will be even more things to be on the lookout for.

There will be a toy version of Jessie riding on the back of a Trixie pull-toy and unique toy versions of Bo Peep and her sheep, all whom appear to be performing in the rodeo together.”

Roundup Rodeo BBQ Dining Rooms

At Roundup Rodeo BBQ, the lobby and waiting room are filled with Andy’s toys, of which guests ( you!) become the newest additions. Once shown into the restaurant, the dining area splits into two larger dining spaces featuring the Rodeo itself. One of the rooms is themed to Jessie and Trixie, complete with large figurines of the pair. While the other room is anchored by Little Bo Peep and her sheep. Built by Andy, this space is made with a Western Town Playset and a Train Station Playset. And as one of Andy’s newest toys, you get a front-row seat to the action.

No. There are no Disney Characters at Woody’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ Restaurant. Roundup Rodeo BBQ is DOES NOT offer Character Dining Meals. That said, you can still expect over-the-top theming featuring Toy Story characters, and toys. As such Jessie, Buzz, and Woody, are still available for meet and greets throughout Toy Story Land as usual. But you cannot meet any characters at Roundup Rodeo BBQ.

Woodys Roundup BBQ Andy’s Coming!

As one of the interactive “Play” pieces of the restaurant, when dining here  guests are instructed to freeze when a cast member yells “Andy’s Coming.” This fun element of the dining experience further seats the idea that guests are toys. Just like the Toy Story movie, toys can’t be seen moving. Much like the Whispering Canyon Cafe, the immersion experience here is fun, and not too frequent to be overwhelming.

Woody’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ Review

As you can see from the Roundup Rodeo BBQ Menu, the food at this restaurant is heavier, cozier and perfect for cowfolk. Not necessarily great for hot Florida weather, but if you’re looking for a hearty all you can eat meal at Disney World, this is it. As such, you may also see that the Roundup Rodeo BBQ is VERY SIMILAR to the Trails End Menu at Fort Wilderness Resort, as well as Whispering Canyon Cafe Menu.

While the appeal of All You Can Eat at Disney World is always, well, appealing, especially if you have several children to feed, it may not be what you’re looking for. Also served family style, you can get a similar experience, for the same price, WITH characters at Garden Grill in EPCOT. And while not Toy Story themed, many children would be thrilled to see Chip and Dale, as opposed to just food on a table.

Without characters, Woody’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ falls a little short in the WOW department when it comes to themed dining at Disney World. This family style meal at the Roundup Rodeo at Disney is a decent price, in an indoor space, which is much needed in Toy Story Land. However, if you’re looking for a spectacular dining experience you may want to try a Disney character restaurant instead.

Jessie’s Trading Post

What is Jessie’s Trading Post? Jessie’s Trading Post is Andy’s latest toy set, featuring Jessie’s shop. This gift shop will include all things Toy Story, featuring toys, apparel, souvenirs, and more. And since Toy Story Land has depended on souvenir carts and kiosks since its opening, this new gift shop is a welcome addition to this area of the park.
