Belle Vue Lounge at Disney Boardwalk Inn Resort

The Belle Vue Lounge at Disney Boardwalk Inn combines quick service, a throwback atmosphere, and indoor and outdoor seating for drinks, old-time music, board games, and chess. But not a lot of people know this little lounge exists! Super cute, the Belle Vue Lounge is only open at certain times acting as a quiet space for the guests the rest of the day. But what can you do here? When are they open? What do you get? Let us fill you in!

One of the more confusing elements of staying at the Boardwalk Inn involves breakfast. Strange, yes. But when you consider that the Boardwalk Inn doesn’t have a commissary like the Value or Moderate Resorts, not so strange after all. We can’t even begin to tell you the number of people who came to this counter asking where breakfast is served! Luckily, with the arrival of Carousel Coffee and the Boardwalk Deli, complete with a mug refill station, there are at least a couple of places to grab a bite. Unfortunately, Belle Vue Lounge at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn no longer serves breakfast.

When is the Belle Vue Lounge at Boardwalk Inn Resort Open?

Belle Vue Louge at Boardwalk Inn Resort is open from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am daily and serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Belle Vue Lounge Atmosphere

Our original reason for trying the Belle Vue Lounge at Disney was the promise of a themed boardwalk hotel lounge from the 30s and 40s vibe. With old-time radio music and shows, chess tables, old books, and vintage board games. All lined up ready to be played, we loved the idea of this super kid-friendly morning location for lounging and fancy drinks at night.

If you’re fortunate enough to have a gorgeous morning there is also a covered porch for lounging and eating outside. What we liked most about the Belle Vue Lounge was that it is super low-key. Since most people don’t know about this little lounge, we didn’t have to contest with crowds, lines, or not finding a table. And because the area opens at 6:30am we were able to stumble in still wearing pajamas, settle in on the sofa or balcony, and relax.

Where is the Belle Vue Lounge at Disney?

Located on the lobby-level floor of the Boardwalk Inn, Belle Vue is tucked away off the main bridge area on your way to the resort rooms. The Lounge offers specialty drinks from 4:00 pm to 12: 00 am and is a great place to stop if you’re looking for something special. They even have a non-alcoholic beverage lineup so the kids can enjoy some special relaxation time too.

Breakfast at Boardwalk Inn Resort

Since Breakfast is NO LONGER SERVED at Belle Vue Lounge, you can’t get breakfast here, but you can grab breakfast from either Carousel Coffee or Boardwalk Deli and eat it here. There are small tables, sofas, a balcony area with seating, and just a nice atmosphere that you can enjoy throughout the day.

If heading to the Boardwalk Deli to grab your to-go breakfast, we recommend the cinnamon roll. While not as decadent or massive as the one at Gaston’s Tavern in Magic Kingdom it is still a lovely delectable breakfast treat and great for sharing! It’s also portable and great for taking back to the Belle Vue Lounge to enjoy! Check out the Boardwalk Deli Menu for to-go items nearby.

Disney Belle Vue Lounge Menu

The Belle Vue Lounge Menu mainly consists of classic drinks from the 1930s and ’40s. Tom Collins, Old Fashioneds, Manhattans, and Negronis are all on the menu. And we most like that the non-alcoholic specialties are more than just lemonade! You can get a couple of drinks that include Lyre’s nonalcoholic spirits, which are always a treat and great for tweens and teens wanting something a little special during their Disney trip.

All in all, we really liked the Boardwalk Inn, and used this low-traffic space for lounging, relaxing, playing games, and grabbing a drink.  If you’re looking for something grander you’ll probably be happier elsewhere. But we reveled in the fact that we weren’t standing in lines, or fighting crowds as we would have been at other resorts. You also don’t have to be a guest of the resort to grab food or drinks here. Simply walk in right off the boardwalk and hang out. And since there are board games at the ready here, you can also indulge in a rainy afternoon break if needed. 🙂
