We love the Flower and Garden Festival for many reasons. The flowers are in bloom, bringing a beautiful array of colors to Epcot, there are fun and colorful new foods to take in and it just feels like Spring! Which, for us, is truly magical. One of our favorite parts about the festivals at Epcot are the food booths! And to help you navigate kid-friendly foods, just be sure to pick up a Flower and Garden Festival passport and look for the little strawberry next to foods your kids will love. Keep track of your progress during the festival by marking off what you’ve tried. The Flower and Garden Festival has lots of kid-friendly options and we love seeing the new options added every year. Be sure to check out the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival Menus ahead of time to get a glimpse of your options. Here some of our favorite Kid-Friendly Foods at this years Flower and Garden Festival 2024. 

Warm Cheese Strudel with Berry Compote | Bauernmarkt

One of our favorite dishes at the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival is the Warm Cheese Strudel with Berry Compote. This has been such a favorite for us, that we even have a copycat recipe for it! This pastry covered in warm compote is perfect for kids who love anything that tastes like a toaster strudel! 

Froot Loops Shake | Brunchcot

Combining everyone’s favorite kid cereal, this is fruit loops cereal in a slushy milkshake. Perfect if you’re going overboard with a treat for the afternoon. And a fun way to add a little bit of childhood to an dice cream treat. 

Orange Lemon Smoothie in an Orange Bird Sipper | The Citrus Blossom

You an get this little smoothie in the Orange Bird sipper, or just in a cup, but whichever you choose, Kids will love this smoothie that combines orange juice and lemon at the Flower and Garden Festival. Perfect for a breakfast treat, or a mid day pick me up. 

Florida Strawberry Shortcake | Florida Fresh

Another great dessert at Disney for kids, this is a classic Strawberry Shortcake with cake, strawberries and cream. A little fancier and healthier that a typical cake, if your kid loves strawberries, then this is a must try. 

Cucumber Watermelon Slushy | Florida Fresh

An absolute favorite Flower and Garden Festival Menu item, the Cucumber Watermelon Slushy takes like watermelon you can sip. Another recipe we just had to try on the blog, kids will love this sweet cold drink on hot days in Florida. 

Chicken and Waffles | The Honey Bee-Stro

This little meal can double as a lunch for kids at Disney . With Crispy chicken and a honey sweet cornbread waffle, topped with whipped honey butter and spicy honey, these are great flavors for kids, and a fun twist on things they already like! 

Honey Peach Cobbler Freeze | The Honey Bee-Stro

If you’re looking for Kid-Friendly Drinks for at Disney, this Honey-Peach Cobbler Freeze with Streusel is great for kids and healthy too! 

Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade | Pineapple Promenade

A staple at every Flower and Garden Festival since the beginning of time pretty much, this Violet Lemonade is a purple lemonade garnished with an edible flower. 

Quattro Formaggi | Primavera Kitchen |  Italy

If your kids like macaroni and cheese, then this elevated pasta dish is an excellent options and portion size for little kids. This is a Pennette pasta and four-cheese sauce.

Soft Serve Waffle Cone | Swirled Showcase

Soft Serve! What kid doesn’t like ice cream, or soft serve! In great flavors like Vanilla, Peanut Butter, and Grape Jelly, these are fun new flavors, kids will love to try. 

Orange Bird Liege Waffle | Connections Cafe

Featuring a little Orange Bird wafer on a waffle, this treat is available at the Starbucks counter in the Connections Cafe at EPCOT. 

Funnel Cake | American Adventure

Found in American Adventure, this Funnel Cake with powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream, strawberries, whipped cream, strawberry glaze, and strawberry crunch is perfect for kids! And sharing.

Interactive Play Areas

Kids will love these little play gardens located throughout the Flower and Garden Festival. There are two play areas available during the festival. Bo Peep’s Playtime Training Grounds is located along the Test Track Walkway and features Bo Peep and her sheep! And lucky for parents, there are places for you to sit and relax while they have fun and burn off some energy. The Playfull Garden hosted by AdventHealth is located by the Imagination Walkway. This play space for kids at the Flower and Garden Festival is focused on nutrition and wellness and we think little ones will love having this extra play area during this year’s festival. One of the best Kid Friendly Disney Flower and Garden things to do in the park. 

  • Camp Get Out ‘N’ Play Garden Presented by OFF! – World Discovery
    Bring the entire family to explore this camp-themed garden where little ones are invited to jump, play and climb.
  • Butterfly Landing Presented by AdventHealth – World Nature Near Imagination!
    View a kaleidoscope of butterflies up close, in all their extraordinary color. Learn about butterfly lifecycles and maybe even see one emerge from its chrysalis. Closes at dusk.

We love the little scavenger hunts at the Epcot Festival. This year at the Flower and Garden Festival, adults and kids alike can hunt for Spike, the busy bee behind the pollination of the festival! Pick up your scavenger hunt map at a participating kiosk or at the Port of Entry and search for him throughout the flower beds of the festival! Egg-Stravaganza Scavenger Hunt 

One of our favorite things to do for Easter at Walt Disney World is to head to EPCOT Park and play this game! If you’re lucky enough to be at the festival early in the season you and your kids can participate in the Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt. This scavenger hunt is similar to the one previously mentioned, except this time, you’re hunting for Easter eggs! And just like Spike, you can also collect a prize once this Scavenger Hunt is completed!

Butterfly House

One of the best Kid Friendly Disney Flower and Garden things to do in the park is the Butterfly House! Every kid loves butterflies! The metamorphosis process is so cool and kids and adults alike just love seeing the butterflies in action. This  butterfly house is always a huge hit! You can stroll into this beautiful greenhouse filled with flowers and butterflies and learn all about their life cycles, smell the flowers, and maybe even see a butterfly up close! 

PB & J Garden

The PB&J Garden presented by Smucker’s Uncrustables® can be found on the World Showcase Bridge and is new for 2024.Filled with all the things kids love, you can tie this one into their favorite Uncrustables treat! Because it’s important to know where food comes from, and this is a great way to start that chat!
