EPCOT Park Walt Disney World Checklist

EPCOT Park Walt Disney World Checklist

Epcot is one of our favorite places because there is always something to do! So much so, that even though we’ve been to Epcot oh so many times, we still have not seen it all. While there is SO MUCH to do be sure to take a mini-break over at the Disney Boardwalk just through the International Gateway between France and the U.K. Check out everything on the EPCOT Checklist you can do, see and eat during your next visit.

What’s the Best Day to Visit Epcot?

Weekdays at Epcot are usually safe. Since this is one of the food and drink meccas in Orlando, Florida, you can bet that weekends and evenings get pretty packed, and if you’re there during a festival of any kind avoid the weekends completely. Epcot Transportation

If Driving: Just park! While Epcot’s parking lot is nowhere as big as Magic Kingdom’s it’s still quite a hike to the main gates, so be ready to hike it, or grab a tram from your car.

From the Monorail: Epcot is available on the monorail that attaches to the TTC (which attaches to the rail serving the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Contemporary Resorts, and also the Magic Kingdom). But make sure you’re on the Epcot monorail and not the Magic Kingdom one.

From the Boat: Epcot can be reached by a small ferry if you’re staying at the Swan and Dolphin or any of the Boardwalk resorts. You can also grab the boat back to the Boardwalk area and the International Gateway if you take the ferry from Hollywood Studios.

By Bus: Every resort bus goes to Epcot, but you can also catch a bus from Disney Springs to any resort and then transfer to an Epcot bus if you’re not staying on-site.

Whether we’re trying the food at the International Food and Wine Festival, admiring the flowers at the Flower and Garden Festival, or watching the artists at the International Festival of the Arts EPCOT is one of the best places if you’re looking for some extra fun on your vacation.

Early Entry Hours and Breaks

Early Entry Hours in the morning or evening are always a treat but be sure to make the most of it.

  • Don’t book your early breakfast reservations (which do get you early access to the park) on Early Theme Park Entry days.
  • Save the busiest rides for morning or evening magic hours. Don’t waste a Genie+ Lightning Lane at these times, fewer people in the parks mean a much shorter wait at rides.
  • Plan for the long day. Break up the park day by stopping over at a Boardwalk Resort to relax.

  • This is a great post! I have been to Epcot once, but it was when I was 12, so I’m sure many things have changed since then! I’d love to go again and I hope I’ll be able to within the next few years, but until then Disneyland is a much easier and affordable trip for me since I live in California.

    • Thanks Sarena! We’re hoping it will help others get the most out of their Epcot day. Epcot can be crazy overwhelming because there is so so much to do. And yes, a lot has changed. In fact we’re slowly watching some new construction go up over there! A new country could be added to the world showcase any day now. Bets have been on Brazil:) popping up between Germany and Italy. Chances are if you wait a few years you’ll get there right when everything is new again! Yay!
